Y'all ever think about how much time we waste dealing with this bs? Like, we could probably solve world hunger with all the collective hours spent on hold with EDD 🤔
Here's what I've learned after dealing with EDD for months: 1. Always certify on time, even if your payment is delayed 2. Keep detailed records of all your communications with EDD 3. Check your spam folder regularly for EDD emails 4. If you can't get through on the phone, try contacting your local assembly member's office 5. Be patient but persistent. The system is overwhelmed, but your claim will eventually be processed Hang in there, everyone. We're all in this together. 💪
Not to freak you out, but my card never came 😭 Had to call and request a new one. Turns out there was a mixup with my address. Def double check all your info is correct!
Ive been dealing with edd for 6 months now. heres my advice: document EVERYTHING. every call, every letter, every interaction. itll help if you need to escalate or appeal later
Anyone else think its crazy that we're all struggling like this just to get the benefits we're entitled to? The whole system needs an overhaul tbh
anyone else think its crazy that we have to jump through all these hoops just to get whats owed to us? like, we paid into this system ffs 🤦♂️

Am I the only one who thinks its ridiculous that we have to jump through so many hoops just to understand our own tax situation? 🤦♂️

•For real. In some countries, the government just sends you a completed tax form and you just verify it. Why can't we have that?

Pro tip: If you need tax documents from previous years, you can request a wage and income transcript from the IRS website for free. It shows all reported income, including W2s.
