Pro tip: if you do get through, ask for a direct extension or email for follow-up. It can save you a ton of time if you need to contact them again.
Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes important EDD emails end up there. Also, make sure you're certifying for benefits every two weeks, even if your claim is pending.
Anybody else notice that the EDD website is always 'under maintenance' when you actually need to use it? 🙄 It's like they're trolling us at this point.
Y'all ever think about how much time we waste dealing with this bs? Like, we could probably solve world hunger with all the collective hours spent on hold with EDD 🤔
Here's what I've learned after dealing with EDD for months: 1. Always certify on time, even if your payment is delayed 2. Keep detailed records of all your communications with EDD 3. Check your spam folder regularly for EDD emails 4. If you can't get through on the phone, try contacting your local assembly member's office 5. Be patient but persistent. The system is overwhelmed, but your claim will eventually be processed Hang in there, everyone. We're all in this together. 💪

I heard theres a new bill being proposed to overhaul the entire unemployment system. Might be worth looking into and contacting your reps about supporting it.
