If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I set up monthly payments for my overpayment ($5,600) and they STILL took my federal refund last year!! When I called to complain they said it was because I missed 2 payments on my payment plan. The system is so messed up. Make sure you never miss a payment if you go that route.

omg thats terrible!! did they at least give you credit for the refund they took? or did they make you keep paying the full amount?

One other important thing to know - if you're married and file jointly, your spouse's portion of the tax refund could also be taken unless they file a special form called an "Injured Spouse Allocation" (Form 8379 for federal). This protects your spouse's portion of the refund from your EDD debt.

Thank you for this! I am married and we usually file jointly. I'll make sure to look into that form to protect my husband's portion of the refund at least.

Anyone else notice that if you transfer on a Monday it goes through faster than if you do it on a Thursday or Friday? Or is that just me?

There's definitely some truth to this. Banking processes tend to slow down near the end of the week. Monday-Wednesday transfers usually process more efficiently in my experience as well. It's not an official policy, just how the banking system tends to work with ACH transfers.

Update: I went ahead and initiated the transfer this morning. The Money Network site says it should be in my account by Tuesday! Cutting it close for rent but should work out. Thanks everyone for the advice!

Great! In my experience, it often shows up earlier than their estimate. Hope that happens for you too!

I've been on unemployment three times in the past five years and let me tell you, the whole system is designed to be frustrating. My brother works for the state (not EDD) and says they're chronically understaffed. Like 50% of the people they need. So everything takes forever. And their computer system was built in the stone age. Last time my payment was pending, I just waited it out and it switched to paid after 4 days with no explanation. But I get being nervous about rent - my landlord doesn't exactly accept "EDD is slow" as an excuse lol

yup exactly landlords dont care about edd problems they just want their $$$$

UPDATE: Good news! I called first thing this morning (took about 15 attempts to get through) and spoke with a rep. She said there was indeed a random quarterly review flag on my account that was holding up payment. She was able to clear it while I was on the phone, and my status just changed from pending to paid! She said I should receive the deposit by tomorrow. Thanks everyone for your advice and support!

Great to hear! Quarterly reviews are becoming more common as EDD tightens verification procedures. For anyone else reading this thread - if your payment status stays in pending for more than 48 hours, it's usually worth calling rather than just waiting it out. Glad you got it resolved!

My company did something similar last year during our slow season when they reduced everyone to 24 hours. Turns out what they meant was they were filling out some forms on THEIR end to verify they were reducing hours due to lack of work (not firing people). But I still had to certify myself every two weeks and report my exact hours and earnings! Don't trust your manager on this! They usually have no clue how unemployment actually works.

Update: I finally managed to reach someone at EDD! You were all right - my employer enrolled in the Work Sharing program, but I still need to submit my own certifications. The EDD rep said this is one of the most common misunderstandings with the program. I was able to certify for all three past weeks, and the rep said I should receive payments within 3-5 days. She also told me to make sure I enter my hours and wages EXACTLY as they appear on my pay stubs to avoid problems later. Thank you everyone for your help! I would have kept waiting for my employer to "handle it" if not for your advice.

Excellent! I'm glad you got this sorted out. Make sure to continue certifying every two weeks going forward. The Work Sharing program can be really beneficial during temporary reductions in hours, but the certification responsibility still falls on you as the employee.

So glad you figured it out before losing benefits! Make sure to tell your coworkers too if they're in the same boat!!

Just to give you final confirmation - I received my last payment on my BofA card on July 8th (after the transition announcement but before my Money Network card arrived). Then got my Money Network card on July 17th, activated it, and my next payment went there automatically. The system knows where to send your money based on which card is active. So if you're seeing 'Paid' status today and don't have a Money Network card yet, that money is definitely going to your BofA card.

This is exactly what I needed to hear! Thank you so much for sharing your actual timeline. I'll stop worrying now and just wait for it to hit my BofA card. Really appreciate everyone's help on this!
