PFL claim pending for a month, already back at work. No payment yet. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm really frustrated with my PFL claim. It's been a month since I filed and I still haven't gotten paid. I've already gone back to work and nothing. This process wasn't nearly as long last time. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to speed things up?

I found a way to solve PFL claim payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNO2pugr_EI

Ugh, I feel your pain. I'm in the same boat rn. Filed 6 weeks ago and crickets. 🦗 It's like they're purposely trying to make us suffer.

6 weeks?! That's insane. Have you tried calling them?

Lol good luck with that. I've tried calling like 50 times and can never get through. It's a joke.

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold that way.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds sketchy. Is it legit?

Totally legit. I was skeptical too but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

Why should we have to pay to talk to a government agency? This is ridiculous.

I get it, but for me, time is money. I'd rather pay $20 than waste a whole day on hold.

Have you tried emailing them? Sometimes that works better than calling. Here's a template I used: Subject: Follow-Up on Pending PFL Claim Dear EDD, I'm writing about my PFL claim submitted on [DATE]. It's still pending and I haven't received any payments. I returned to work on [DATE] and need an update on the delay. Please let me know if you need any additional info from me. Thanks, [YOUR NAME]

Thanks for this! I'll give it a shot. Do you know how long it usually takes them to respond to emails?

In my experience, it can take anywhere from 3-5 business days. But it's still faster than trying to call most of the time.

This is why we need to overhaul the entire system. It's broken af and nobody in charge seems to care. 🤬

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes they update info there before sending out payments or notifications.

Yeah, I've been checking daily. Still says 'pending' with no other info. So frustrating!

Word of advice: document EVERYTHING. Every call, email, letter. You might need it if things get messed up (which they probably will lol). I learned this the hard way. 😩
