PFL check status unclear after submitting info electronically to EDD - What's next?

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I talked to someone last week about getting a check, and they told me I needed to send some info electronically. I did that, but now I'm not sure if it went through or when I'll actually get my money. Has anyone else been through this? Any advice on what I should do next?

I found a way to solve check status and delivery issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Y_tx4BG4Yk

Been there, done that. The system is a mess rn. Here's what you need to do: 1. Gather all your docs - confirmation emails, screenshots, everything 2. Call them back and ask SPECIFICALLY: - Did you get my stuff? - What's the status of my check? - Do I need to do anything else? 3. Get an email confirmation if possible 4. Set reminders to follow up Don't let them give you the runaround. Stay on them!

Great advice! I would also suggest noting down the name of the person you speak to for future reference.

Has anyone tried contacting their local representative? I've heard sometimes they can help speed things up.

Anyone else notice how they always say "2-3 weeks" but it never actually takes that long? It's either super fast or takes forever. There's no in-between.

Have you tried faxing your info? I know it sounds old school, but sometimes it works better than their janky online system.

Faxing? What year is it? 😂 But seriously, might give it a shot if nothing else works.

Protip: If you can't get through on the phone, try calling right when they open or like 30 mins before they close. Sometimes works for me.

Hey OP, quick question - did they give you a confirmation number or anything when you submitted your info electronically? Might be helpful when you call back.

Pro tip: I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. Used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Considering your situation, I recommend utilizing services like Claimyr, which can expedite contact with a live agent over the phone. Though it costs $20, it can be a valuable investment if you're struggling to reach someone and need to resolve your issue quickly. Claimyr is regarded as a legitimate service by those who have used it, although opinions about the cost vary. It's important to weigh the urgency of your situation against the cost. Another option to consider is reaching out to your local representative, as they can potentially expedite the process. Additionally, always verify whether your information has been received and look for any updates in your online account. While these steps may seem tedious, persistence is often necessary in navigating these systems. Remember to document all interactions and communications to have a record for reference, as it can be valuable in case of disputes or further inquiries. Keep pushing forward and do not lose hope.
