PFL check delayed 2 months, bills past due - need help!
I've been waiting for my Paid Family Leave check for 2 months now and haven't heard anything back. All my bills are past due and I don't know what to do. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to get through to someone?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I was in the same boat last year. Have you tried calling them? It's a nightmare to get through, but it's worth a shot.

I've been trying to call for days but can't get through. It's so frustrating!

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold that way.

lol 30 minutes? You got lucky. I was on hold for 3 hours last week 😭

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

How long did it take for them to call you back?

It took about 2 hours for me, but I've heard it can vary. Still better than trying to call yourself!

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes they post updates there that don't get sent out as notifications.

This is ridiculous. The system is so broken. We pay into this and then can't even access it when we need it. 🤬

Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them. 2. Check your online account daily for updates. 3. Try calling first thing in the morning, right when they open. 4. If you can't get through, consider using a paid service like Claimyr to get on the phone with an agent. 5. Reach out to your local state representative. They often have liaisons who can help with EDD issues. 6. If you're really in a bind, look into emergency assistance programs in your area for help with bills. 7. Don't give up! Keep pushing until you get answers. Hang in there. The system sucks, but you'll get through this!

Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try reaching out to my state rep.
