PFL Office impossible to reach - been waiting for days. Any tips to actually talk to someone?
Anyone else having trouble getting through to the paid family leave office? I've been trying to call them for days now and I'm still waiting. It's so frustrating! Any tips on how to actually speak with someone there?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I've been trying to reach them for weeks. It's like they don't want us to get our benefits š

Same here! I swear they must have like 2 people working the phones or something. This is ridiculous.

Have you tried calling right when they open? I heard that's the best time to get through.

Yeah, I've tried that. Still no luck. It's like playing the lottery at this point š«

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Wow, that sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? How long did you have to wait?

Idk man, paying to get through to a government office seems sketchy. Are you sure its legit?

I get the skepticism, but it honestly worked for me. Took about 2 hours, but I finally got to talk to someone. Worth the $20 imo

That's crazy that we have to pay extra just to access benefits we're entitled to. The system is so broken š¤¦āāļø

Here's what I've learned after dealing with the PFL office for months: ā¢ Call early in the morning, right when they open ā¢ Have all your documents ready before you call ā¢ Be persistent and call multiple days in a row ā¢ Use the online portal for simple questions if possible ā¢ If you get through, ask for a direct number or extension for follow-ups It's a frustrating process, but don't give up! You're entitled to these benefits.

This is super helpful, thanks for sharing! Do you know if there's a best day of the week to call?

In my experience, Tuesdays and Wednesdays seem to be slightly better. Mondays and Fridays are usually the worst.

Has anyone tried contacting their local representative about this? Maybe if enough of us complain, they'll do something to improve the system.

I'm in the same boat. been trying to reach them for 3 weeks now. This is rediculous. Don't they realize people need this money to survive??

Preach! š It's like they forget we're real people with bills to pay.

Pro tip: if you get through to anyone, even if it's the wrong department, ask them to transfer you instead of hanging up and calling again. Sometimes this works!

Unpopular opinion: maybe if we all stopped calling constantly, the lines wouldn't be so jammed and it would be easier for everyone to get through š¤·āāļø

Lol yeah right, and maybe if we all stopped breathing the air would be cleaner š People call because they NEED to

Fair point. I'm just frustrated with the whole situation I guess.
