PFL Application Ghosted - No Response After a Month. What to Do?

Hey everyone, I'm having some trouble with my paid family leave application. I applied last month but never heard back, so I reapplied thinking I might have messed something up. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on what I should do next or if I need to submit additional forms?

Ugh, I feel ya. The whole system is a mess rn. I had to wait like 2 months before I heard anything back. Have you tried calling them? It's a pain, but sometimes that's the only way to get answers.

Thanks for the reply. I've been trying to call but can never get through. It's so frustrating! 馃槫 How long did you have to stay on hold?

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through in 20 mins that way!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

Yeah, it's totally legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

How long did it take for them to get someone on the line?

For me, it took about an hour and a half. But I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music the whole time, which was awesome.

Here's what you need to know about Paid Family Leave (PFL) applications: 1. Processing time: It typically takes about 2 weeks for them to process your application. 2. Additional forms: Make sure you've submitted the DE 2501F form. 3. Employer verification: Your employer needs to complete their portion. 4. Medical certification: Ensure your healthcare provider has submitted the necessary medical certification. 5. Follow up: If you haven't heard back after 3 weeks, try to contact them. 6. Online account: Check your online account for updates or messages. 7. Reapplying: Generally, you don't need to reapply unless instructed to do so. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

Oof, reapplying might've reset your place in line. 馃槵 I'd def try to get someone on the phone to sort it out. Good luck!
