Need help following up on ESD claim - any tips to actually reach someone?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to follow up on my ESD claim but I'm not sure how to go about it. Has anyone had any luck getting through to them lately? I've been waiting for what feels like forever and I'm starting to get worried. Any advice would be really appreciated!

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been trying to get ahold of someone at ESD for weeks now. It's like they've disappeared off the face of the earth or something. Have you tried calling first thing in the morning? I heard that's when the lines are least busy.

First thing in the morning? lol good luck with that. I tried calling at 7:59 AM and still got the 'all lines are busy' message. Its ridiculous 🤬

Same here. I even set an alarm for 5 minutes before they open and STILL couldn't get through. This system is so broken.

Thanks for the suggestion, but yeah, I've tried early mornings too. No luck so far. It's so frustrating!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20? That's kinda steep. Is it really worth it?

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. And yeah, $20 isn't cheap, but considering how much time I wasted trying to get through, it was worth it for me.

I used it too! Got through in like an hour. Beats days of calling 💯

Have you tried emailing them? I know it's not ideal, but I finally got a response after sending like 5 emails. Just make sure you include all your claim info in the email.

Honestly, at this point I'm considering hiring a lawyer. This whole process is such a nightmare. Anyone have experience with that?

I thought about that too, but most lawyers won't take ESD cases unless you've been denied. They can't really do much if you're just waiting for a response.

Ugh, that sucks. Thanks for the info tho. Guess I'm back to square one 😩

Here's what worked for me: 1. Call exactly at 7:59:55 AM. Like, set your phone's clock to the atomic clock. 2. If you get the busy signal, hang up and immediately redial. 3. Repeat step 2 until you get into the queue. 4. Once in the queue, DO NOT HANG UP no matter how long it takes. 5. Have all your info ready - claim number, dates, etc. 6. Be super nice to the rep when you finally get one. They're dealing with a lot. It took me about 30 tries over 3 days, but I finally got through. Good luck!

This is great advice! I'm gonna try this tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed 🤞

I know it sounds like a lot, but when you're desperate, you'll try anything. And hey, it worked!

Has anyone tried reaching out to their local state representative? I've heard some people have had luck getting help that way.

I did this! It actually helped. My rep's office contacted ESD on my behalf and I got a call back within a week.

How do you even find out who your local rep is? 🤔

Just Google '[your state] find my representative'. Most states have a website where you can enter your address and it'll tell you who represents you.

Am I the only one who thinks its absolutely insane that we have to jump through all these hoops just to get basic info about our claims? The system is so broken its not even funny anymore.

Preach! 🙌 It's a total clown show 🤡

For real. We're all in the same sinking boat here. ESD needs to get their act together.
