Filed for EDD on 9/26, still no notice of computation. What to do?

Ugh, I feel ya. The EDD is such a mess rn. I filed back in August and didn't get my notice until late October. It's frustrating af but sadly not uncommon 😤

As a fellow nurse, I can tell you that our profession doesn't really affect the processing time. It's pretty much a crapshoot for everyone. Have you tried calling them? Sometimes that can speed things up.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Keep checking your UI Online account daily. Sometimes the notice appears there before you get it in the mail. 2. Try calling early in the morning, right when they open. It's your best shot at getting through. 3. If you can't get through on the phone, consider sending a message through your UI Online account. It's slow, but they do respond eventually. 4. Check if there are any local EDD offices near you. Some are open for in-person appointments now. 5. Make sure all your info is up to date in the system. Sometimes delays happen because of mismatched information. 6. If it's been more than 6 weeks, you can file a complaint with your local state representative. They can sometimes expedite things. Hang in there! The system is overwhelmed, but you'll get your notice eventually.

Tbh, I think the whole system is designed to be confusing on purpose. They make it hard so people give up. Stay strong and keep pushing! 💪

Pro tip: if you get through to someone and they're not helpful, politely ask to speak to a tier 2 specialist. They have more authority to actually fix issues.
