EDD Application Stuck on Pending - Need Advice!

Hey everyone, I'm dealing with a pending application and I'm not sure what to do next. Has anyone else been in this situation? How long did it take for your application to get approved? Any advice would be really appreciated!

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been stuck in pending hell for weeks now. It's so frustrating! Have you tried calling them? That seems to be the only way to get any real answers.

Calling is a nightmare tho. I spent 3 hours on hold yesterday and got disconnected 🤬

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through in like 20 mins that way!

Thanks for the tip! I'll try that tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed 🤞

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

20 bucks? That's kinda steep. How long did you have to wait?

It's totally legit! I was skeptical too, but it saved me hours of frustration. I waited about 2 hours, but I could do other stuff while the service was on hold for me. Worth every penny imo.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes there's additional info they need that they don't tell you about. I was pending for a month before I realized they needed proof of income 🤦‍♂️

Pending applications are the worst! I swear the system is designed to make us give up. Hang in there, OP. It'll get sorted eventually... probably... maybe... 😅

Lol, thanks for the... encouragement? 😂 I guess patience is the name of the game here

Here's what worked for me: 1. Double-check all your info is correct online 2. Upload any additional docs they might need (even if they haven't asked) 3. Call early in the morning (like 7:59 am) 4. If you can't get through, try contacting your local representative 5. Be persistent! It took me about 3 weeks to go from pending to approved. Don't lose hope!

This is super helpful, thank you! I'll definitely try all of these

Contacting my rep actually worked for me too! They have special hotlines to EDD
