SDI payments delayed for months - can't pay bills or buy necessities. Help!
My SDI payments have been delayed for months now and it's really affecting my life. I can't pay my bills or buy necessities like food and medicine. I've been trying to reach out to an agent but it's nearly impossible to get through. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to get this resolved?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. It's been a nightmare trying to get my payments on time. Have you tried calling early in the morning? I heard that's when the lines are less busy.

•Yeah, I've tried calling at all hours. No luck so far. It's so frustrating!

•Early morning didn't work for me either. I swear they have like 2 people working the phones 🙄

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

•Yeah, I was skeptical at first too, but I was desperate. It actually worked for me! Got through to an agent in about an hour.

•20 bucks tho? That's kinda steep when were already struggling with delayed payments 😬

•I get it, but for me it was worth it to finally get some answers and hopefully speed up my payments. Beats calling for hours every day 🤷♂️

Here's what worked for me to get my SDI payments back on track: 1. Document everything: Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and any communication with EDD. 2. Contact your local state representative: They often have liaisons who can help with EDD issues. 3. File a formal complaint: Use the EDD's official complaint process on their website. 4. Be persistent: Keep calling and emailing. It's annoying, but sometimes the squeaky wheel gets the grease. 5. Check your online account: Make sure all your info is up to date and there are no pending forms or requests. 6. Consider legal aid: If it's been a really long time, look into free legal services in your area that might be able to help. Hope this helps! Hang in there, OP!

This whole system is a joke. They expect us to survive without income while they sit on their butts 'processing' our claims. It's time for a complete overhaul of the EDD! 🤬

•Calm down, Karen. They're probably understaffed and overworked too.

•Understaffed or not, people are suffering. We deserve better!

•I tried that last month. Waited in line for 3 hours only to be told they couldn't help with SDI claims in person. Total waste of time 😫

Pro tip: if u do get thru on the phone, ask for a tier 2 specialist right away. The first person u talk to usually cant do much
