SDI login issues - tried clearing cache & different browsers, still can't access account. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble logging into my SDI account. I've tried clearing my browser cache and using different browsers, but nothing seems to work. I'm not getting any error messages or notices from EDD. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on what I should do next? I've got a call scheduled with them, but I want to be prepared with some possible solutions.

I found a way to solve SDI account login issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfk3TW8_iL8

Ugh, I feel your pain! I had a similar issue last month. Have you tried resetting your password? Sometimes that fixes weird login problems.

Thanks for the suggestion! I actually haven't tried that yet. I'll give it a shot before my call.

Password resets can be hit or miss with EDD. I tried it once and got locked out for 24 hours šŸ™„

Yikes, that sucks! Maybe OP should wait til after the call to try it then.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

I was skeptical at first too, but it really worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

20 bucks tho? Thats kinda steep for a phone call...

I get it, but consider how much time you waste on hold. For me, it was worth every penny.

Have you checked if your account is locked? Sometimes they do that for security reasons and dont even notify you šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

I've been dealing with SDI login issues for WEEKS now. Here's what I've learned: • Sometimes it's a browser compatibility issue. Try using Microsoft Edge if you haven't already. • Check if your pop-up blocker is interfering. • Make sure your computer's date and time are set correctly. • Try logging in during off-peak hours (early morning or late evening). • If all else fails, you might need to create a new account. It's a pain, but it worked for me. Hope this helps! Let us know what the agent says.

Wow, thanks for the detailed response! I'll definitely try these before my call. Really appreciate it šŸ’Æ

Creating a new account? That sounds like a nightmare with all the verification stuff 😱

Yeah, it's not ideal, but sometimes it's the only way to break the cycle. Just make sure you talk to an agent first before trying it.

lol welcome to the wonderful world of EDD where nothing works and everythings made up 🤔

Ain't that the truth šŸ˜‚ It's like they're running their systems on a potato

Have you tried turning it off and on again? 🤣 jk jk... but seriously, sometimes logging out of all devices and waiting 24 hours before trying again can help. Good luck!

I had the exact same issue a few months back! After trying everything (different browsers, clearing cache, etc.), I discovered my antivirus software was blocking some of the EDD site's security features. Try temporarily disabling your antivirus/firewall and see if that helps. Also, make sure JavaScript is enabled - EDD's site relies heavily on it. If you're still stuck after your call, try accessing the site through a VPN sometimes that bypasses weird regional connection issues. Keep us posted on what the agent tells you!

Oh wow, the antivirus blocking thing is something I never would have thought of! That's actually really helpful. I do have pretty aggressive security settings, so that could definitely be the culprit. Thanks for the tip about JavaScript too - I'll double check that's enabled. The VPN idea is interesting too, might be worth a shot if nothing else works. Really appreciate all the detailed suggestions! šŸ™

I had a similar issue last year and what finally worked for me was clearing ALL stored data for the EDD site specifically (not just cache). In Chrome, go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Site Settings > View permissions for all sites, then search for EDD and delete everything. Also try using an incognito/private browsing window - sometimes stored login tokens get corrupted. One more thing - if you're on a work/school network, their firewall might be interfering. I had to use my phone's hotspot to get through initially. Hope your call goes well, but these might be worth trying first!

This is super helpful! I never knew you could clear site-specific data like that. The incognito window tip is brilliant too - I should have thought of that earlier. The network interference thing is interesting... I am on my apartment's shared WiFi which can be pretty spotty. Definitely going to try the hotspot method if the other stuff doesn't work. Really appreciate you taking the time to share all these detailed steps! šŸ™Œ

I went through this exact same nightmare a couple weeks ago! What finally worked for me was a combination of things: First, I had to completely log out of my EDD account on ALL devices (including my phone), then clear not just my browser cache but also cookies and stored passwords for the EDD site specifically. After that, I waited about 2 hours before trying to log back in. Turns out my account had some kind of session conflict that was preventing new logins. Also, double-check that you're using the correct URL - there are some phishing sites that look identical to the real EDD login page. The real one should be edd.ca.gov. If none of that works, definitely mention to the agent that you've tried multiple browsers and cleared cache - they have some backend tools they can use to reset your account status that regular users can't access. Good luck and let us know how the call goes!

This is such solid advice! The session conflict thing makes total sense - I bet that's what's happening to me too. I never thought about logging out of ALL devices first, that's really smart. And you're absolutely right about double-checking the URL, I've heard horror stories about people accidentally using fake EDD sites. I'm definitely going to try your step-by-step approach before my call tomorrow. Thanks for sharing your experience and for mentioning what to tell the agent about their backend tools - that could save me a lot of time on the phone! šŸ¤ž

I just went through this exact same thing last month! One thing that helped me was checking if there were any pending security verifications on my account. Sometimes EDD will require additional verification (like confirming your identity or updating your contact info) but they don't always send clear notifications about it. When I called, the agent told me my account was in a "pending verification" status that was blocking logins, even though I never received any emails or messages about it. They were able to clear it right away once I confirmed my identity over the phone. Also, if you're using any browser extensions (ad blockers, privacy tools, etc.), try disabling them temporarily - some of them can interfere with EDD's login process. Hope this helps and that your call goes smoothly!
