SDI letter shows no wages but I have wages - Need help transferring from SSN to EDD client number

Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my SDI claim. I got a letter saying I have no wages, but that's not true. I definitely have wages that need to be transferred from my social security number to my EDD client number. Has anyone dealt with this before? What should I do to get this fixed?

I found a way to solve EDD wage transfer issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8wsFaqWaB0

Ugh, classic EDD mess-up. I had a similar issue last year. You need to call them ASAP and explain the situation. Be prepared to wait on hold for hours tho πŸ™„

Fr tho, I've had better luck getting thru early in the morning. Like, set an alarm for 7:55am and start calling at 8am sharp.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

I get the skepticism, but it's totally legit. I was desperate after trying for weeks and it actually worked. Worth every penny imo

Just used it yesterday and got through in like 2 hours. Way better than the 200+ calls I was making before πŸ‘

Here's what you need to do: 1. Gather all your wage info (pay stubs, W-2s, etc) 2. Call EDD and explain the situation 3. Ask for a wage investigation 4. Follow up with a written request for wage transfer 5. Be patient (it can take 2-3 weeks) If they give you trouble, ask to speak to a tier 2 specialist. Don't take no for an answer!

This is super helpful, thank you! Do you know if I need to send copies of my documents or just have them ready when I call?

Have them ready when you call, but they might ask you to fax or upload them later. Better to be prepared!

Preach! πŸ™Œ It's like they make it complicated on purpose to discourage people from claiming

Quick question - when you say "rolled from social to EDD client number," do you mean you changed your SSN recently? That could complicate things.

Amara Chukwu

No, I haven't changed my SSN. It's just that my wages are under my SSN but not showing up under my EDD client number for some reason.

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, that's definitely an EDD issue then. Good luck getting it sorted!

pro tip: keep a log of every call you make, who you talk to, and what they say. EDD loves to give conflicting info and having receipts helps

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? Sometimes they can help cut through the red tape faster than we can on our own.

This! πŸ‘† My assemblyman's office was a game changer when I was stuck in EDD limbo for months

I hadn't even thought of that. How do I find my assembly member?

QuantumQuest

Just google "find my california assembly member" and put in your address. They usually have a form on their website for EDD issues.
