SDI Unreachable for a Week - Any Tips to Actually Get Through?

I've been trying to get ahold of SDI for almost a week now and I'm still waiting. Has anyone else had this problem? It's so frustrating to be left hanging like this. I've tried calling multiple times but can't seem to get through. Any advice on how to actually reach someone?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I was in the same boat last month. It took me over two weeks to finally get through to someone. The system is so broken, it's ridiculous.

Two weeks?! That's insane. What did you end up doing to get through?

Honestly, I just kept calling every single day. It was exhausting, but eventually I got lucky and someone picked up. Not exactly helpful advice, I know 😅

This is why we need to overhaul the entire system. It's not working for anyone!

Have you tried calling right when they open? I've heard that's the best time to get through.

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20? That's kinda steep just to make a phone call...

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imho

I've been dealing with this for THREE MONTHS. It's absolutely ridiculous. I'm about ready to show up at their office and refuse to leave until someone helps me.

Careful with that, you might end up getting arrested instead of helped 😬

At this point, I'm willing to risk it. At least in jail I'd get 3 meals a day 🙃

Here's what I've learned after dealing with SDI for way too long: 1. Call early in the morning, right when they open. Your chances are better. 2. If you get put on hold, DO NOT HANG UP. I once waited 3 hours but finally got through. 3. Try different numbers. Sometimes certain departments are less busy. 4. Be persistent. Call every day if you have to. 5. Document everything. Write down who you talk to, when, and what they say. 6. If all else fails, contact your local representative. They can sometimes intervene. Hope this helps someone. Stay strong, we're all in this together! 💪

Has anyone tried using the online portal? I heard they updated it recently.

Yeah, I tried it last week. It's marginally better, but still doesn't solve most issues. You end up needing to call anyway 🙄

Pro tip: if you have a complex issue, try to get transferred to a tier 2 agent. They usually have more authority to actually solve problems.
