EDD unemployment payment for April delayed - no updates or messages. Anyone else?
Has anyone else not gotten their unemployment payment for April yet? I was supposed to get paid at the beginning of the month for the last few days of March, but nothing has shown up. I've checked my account online and there's no updates or messages. I've tried updating my info and double-checking my claim certification, but still nothing. It's really frustrating not knowing what's going on. Anyone else dealing with this or have any advice?

I heard theres a glitch in the system affecting people who certified on the last day of the month. Anyone else?

Yes, I've heard reports about this too. EDD needs to address these glitches more proactively.

Same situation here. I certified on the last day and haven't received anything yet.

This happened to me last year. Turns out there was a "pending" issue on my account that I couldn't see. Had to talk to a tier 2 specialist to fix it. Keep trying to reach them!

I had the same experience. Once I spoke to a tier 2, everything was resolved quickly.

Here's what I've learned from dealing with EDD for the past year: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and certifications. 2. Check your inbox AND spam folder regularly for EDD messages. 3. If you can't get through on the phone, try reaching out via social media. Sometimes their Twitter team is more responsive. 4. Double-check that your claim hasn't expired. Sometimes you need to file a new claim even if you think you shouldn't have to. 5. If all else fails, contact your local state representative's office. They can sometimes intervene on your behalf. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up!

If anyoneโs open to alternative solutions, consider using Claimyr. It helps you get through to EDD without waiting for hours. However, I understand the concern about paying extra for a service that should already be provided efficiently. For some, it may be worth the cost if you're struggling to reach EDD. For others, the principle of paying might not be acceptable, which is understandable too. Itโs about weighing convenience against cost, and deciding whatโs best for your situation.

Is anyone else considering a class action lawsuit? This level of incompetence has got to be illegal.

Good luck suing a government agency. They'll probably use our tax dollars to defend themselves. ๐

It's a daunting task, but maybe a petition could at least raise awareness.

Plot twist: What if the EDD is actually run by squirrels and that's why everything's so nuts? ๐ฟ๏ธ

Nah, squirrels are way more efficient at gathering nuts than EDD is at distributing benefits.

Ugh, the EDD system is such a joke. They expect us to survive on air while they take their sweet time? ๐

Just a heads up, there's been a lot of fraud lately. Make sure you're not responding to any texts or emails claiming to be EDD. Always go directly through the official website.

Maybe it's time we all learned to code and built a better system ourselves. Can't be worse than what we've got now, right? ๐

Hey guys, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Has anyone tried faxing their documents instead of uploading them online? I heard it might be faster.

I faxed my documents last month and it seemed to process quicker. Worth a shot!
