EDD SDI: No payments received for certified weeks - What's going on and how to fix?
Has anyone else not gotten paid for weeks they certified? I certified for benefits from mid-March to mid-April but haven't received any payments. I didn't get any notices or letters about it either. I'm getting worried because bills are piling up. Anyone know what's going on or how to fix this?

Same boat here. Certified for 3 weeks in April, radio silence from EDD. Starting to feel like I'm shouting into the void 🗣️

It's crazy how many people are dealing with this. You'd think there would be a more streamlined way to handle these issues.

Check your UI Online account. Sometimes payments get held up for identity verification or other issues. Might give you a clue whats going on

UI Online is a mess tho. Half the time it doesn't even load for me 🙄

I had the same issue with the UI Online portal. Sometimes clearing the browser cache or trying a different browser helps.

plot twist: EDD is actually run by a bunch of hamsters on wheels 🐹

Hey now, don't insult hamsters like that. They're way more efficient!

Sometimes it does feel like things move at a hamster's pace, but hopefully, we can see improvements soon.

Have you tried contacting your local assembly member? They can sometimes help push things through with EDD.

I didn't even know that was an option. How do I find out who my assembly member is?

Just google "[your city] assembly member". They usually have a form on their website for EDD help.

This is actually a great tip. Assembly members often have contacts within EDD and can sometimes expedite the process.

Okay, let me break this down for you. I've been dealing with EDD for over a year now, and here's what I've learned: 1. System Glitches: Sometimes the EDD system just... breaks. Your certifications might be in limbo. 2. Identity Verification: They might be verifying your identity. This can hold up payments for weeks. 3. Quarterly Review: Every quarter, they review claims. This could cause delays. 4. Exhausted Benefits: Make sure you haven't hit your maximum benefit amount. 5. Eligibility Issues: There might be a question about your eligibility they're reviewing. Here's what you can do: - Keep certifying every two weeks, even if you're not getting paid. - Check your UI Online account daily for any updates or messages. - Try calling early in the morning or late afternoon on Wednesdays or Thursdays. - If all else fails, contact your local assembly member or state senator. Remember, persistence is key with EDD. Don't give up!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds sketchy. You sure it's legit?

Totally get the skepticism, but I can vouch for it. Used it twice now. Saved me hours of frustration.

$20 to actually talk to someone? might be worth it at this point lol

How long did you have to wait after using this?

It's nice to know there are services that can help navigate the bureaucracy. $20 might seem steep, but if it saves time and stress, maybe it's worth it. Has anyone else tried this and can share their experience?

Ugh, classic EDD. They're probably "reviewing" your claim or some BS. Have you tried calling them?

Yeah, I've been trying to call but can never get through. It's so frustrating!

Calling is a joke. I spent 3 days straight dialing and redialing. Nothing.

Have u tried faxing ur docs? Sometimes old school methods work better w/ EDD

Faxing might seem outdated, but it can sometimes get the job done when digital methods fail.

It's important to stay persistent and try different methods. Many people have found success with services like Claimyr, which can help you get through to EDD for a fee. While it's understandable to be hesitant, especially with the cost, the service has positive reviews from users who have saved time and reduced stress. It's not the only solution, though; always check your online account, keep certifying weekly, and reach out to local government representatives who can sometimes expedite the process. This comprehensive approach will hopefully aid you in resolving your payment issue.
