EDD system not recognizing phone number, can't get April disability credit. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my disability credit from a few months ago. I didn't receive it and when I tried to call, the system didn't recognize my phone number. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to get this sorted out?

Ugh, I've been there. The system is so frustrating! Have you tried updating your contact info on the website? Sometimes that helps with the phone recognition issue.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll give that a try. It's just so annoying that we have to jump through all these hoops 🙄

Updating contact info worked for me too! But it took like 3 business days to process. So don't freak out if it doesn't work right away

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

20 bucks? That's highway robbery! The system should work without us having to pay extra 😡

I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imho

Can you give more details about how it works? Do they guarantee you'll get through?

They don't guarantee it, but it worked for me. You just put in your phone number and they call you when they get a real person. Saved me from listening to that awful hold music for hours lol

Have you checked your mail carefully? Sometimes they send important notices about credits that look like junk mail. I almost threw mine away!

This happened to me too! Turns out there was a glitch in their system for people who filed in April. Here's what I did: 1. Log into your account and check for any pending messages or alerts 2. If you don't see anything, try to file a new claim (don't submit it, just start the process) 3. This sometimes triggers the system to recognize old claims 4. If that doesn't work, you might need to go in person to an office (I know, it sucks) Hope this helps! Let me know if you need any more info.

I'm in the same boat, been waiting on a credit since March. This whole process is a joke. Anyone know if there's a class action lawsuit we can join?

Preach! 🙌 The system is totally broken. We should all flood their social media accounts until they fix this mess

Guys, lets not get carried away. The people working there are probably doing their best with limited resources.
