How to change phone number for SDI claim? Urgent help needed!
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my disability claim. I need to change the phone number they have on file for me, but I'm not sure how to do it. Has anyone gone through this process before? Any tips or advice would be really appreciated!

I had the same issue a few months ago. Unfortunately, you can't just change the number directly. You'll need to start a new claim with the updated phone number. It's a pain, but that's how the system works. đ

â˘Ugh, seriously? That's so frustrating. Why can't they just make it easier for us?

â˘I know, right? The system is so outdated. But hey, at least we're all in the same boat đŁââď¸

Have you tried calling them directly? Sometimes you can get lucky and find a helpful agent who can make the change for you over the phone.

â˘Pro tip: call right when they open. You might have better luck getting through.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

â˘Yeah, it's totally legit! I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. I only waited about 30 minutes before I got connected to an agent.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Log out of your current account 2. Create a new account with your updated phone number 3. Verify the new number via text message 4. Submit a new claim with all your information 5. In the comments section, mention that this is an update to an existing claim and provide your old claim number if possible It's a hassle, but it's the most reliable way to ensure they have your correct contact info. Good luck!

Have you tried faxing them? I know it sounds ancient, but sometimes that's the only way to get through to these government agencies.

â˘Lmao faxing in 2023? What's next, sending a telegram? đ

â˘Hey, don't knock it till you've tried it! Sometimes the old ways work best with these outdated systems.
