EDD suddenly stopped disability payments after DE2593 submission - help!

Has anyone else had their disability payments suddenly stop? I submitted the DE2593 form over a month ago and it shows as received, but I still haven't gotten any payments. This is really stressing me out. Any advice on how to get this resolved?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. It's so frustrating! Have you tried calling them? I've been trying for weeks but can never get through 😤

I've tried calling but keep getting stuck in the automated system. It's driving me crazy!

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold last week.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

I'm skeptical. Why should we have to pay to talk to a government agency? 🤔

I get the skepticism, but it honestly saved me so much time and stress. Worth every penny for me.

Can you give more details about how it works? Do they guarantee you'll get through?

They don't guarantee it, but in my experience it worked great. You just enter your phone number and they call you when they get an agent. Saved me hours of hold time.

Here's what worked for me: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, submissions, and correspondence. 2. Contact your local state representative's office. They often have liaisons who can help with EDD issues. 3. Be persistent. Keep calling and following up. 4. Check your online account regularly for any updates or requests for additional information. 5. If all else fails, consider filing a formal complaint with the EDD. Hang in there, OP. The system is frustrating, but don't give up!

Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try contacting my state rep. Didn't even think of that.

Have you tried faxing your documents? Sometimes that gets faster results than mailing or uploading online.

Faxing? What year is it? 😂 But seriously, I'll give it a shot if it might help. Thanks!

PSA: There's been a glitch in the EDD system affecting some disability claims. They're supposedly working on fixing it, but no ETA. Might explain why your payments stopped.

I saw it on the EDD Twitter account last week. Let me see if I can find the link.
