EDD payment 20 days late after submitting docs. What to do?

I submitted all my documents to the office 20 days ago and they said my payment would be processed in 7-10 days. Still haven't received anything. Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do next?

I found a way to solve payment delay for submitted documents, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WT-0ME3VCBk

Ugh, classic government efficiency 🙄 I've been in the same boat. Took them almost a month to process mine. Keep calling and bugging them, squeaky wheel gets the grease!

Calling over and over is exhausting. There's gotta be a better way.

Trust me, I know. But what else can we do? 🤷‍♂️

Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Write down dates, names of who you talked to, what they said. 2. Call again and ask for a supervisor. Be polite but firm. 3. If that doesn't work, contact your local representative's office. They can often help push things through. 4. Check your online account if you have one. Sometimes there's info there that they don't tell you over the phone. 5. If all else fails, consider filing a formal complaint. Remember, persistence is key. Don't let them forget about you!

This is solid advice. Especially contacting your rep - they can work wonders sometimes.

Filing a complaint seems extreme. Wont that just make them mad and delay things more?

{profile 6} Not necessarily. Sometimes it's the only way to get attention on your case. Just be professional about it.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken 😤

I get it, but for me it was worth it. Saved me hours of frustration and got my issue resolved.

How long did you have to wait once it connected you?

{profile 10} Only about 30 seconds. It was pretty quick once it got through.

have you checked your mail? sometimes they send important notices that way and if you miss it, it can delay everything

20 days? You sweet summer child. I've been waiting for 3 months. The system is a joke. 🤡

3 months?! That's insane. Have you tried escalating?

Pro tip: call right when they open. You're more likely to get through and the agents aren't burnt out yet.

This! Also, Wednesdays seem to be less busy in my experience.

That excuse is getting old. It's been years since covid started. They need to get their act together.
