EDD form never arrives monthly - can't continue benefits. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having a frustrating issue with my benefits. Every month I'm supposed to receive a form to continue my benefits, but it never shows up. This has been happening consistently and it's really stressing me out. Anyone else dealing with this or know what I can do?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I've been dealing with the same issue for months now. It's like they want us to fail or something. Have you tried calling them? Good luck getting through tho 🙄

I've tried calling so many times, but I always get stuck on hold forever. It's so frustrating!

Pro tip: call right when they open. Sometimes you can get through faster that way.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

Can you give more details about how it works? Do they garuantee you'll get through?

Sure! You choose the department you need to reach, pay the fee, and they start calling. When an agent picks up, your phone rings and you're connected. They don't guarantee success, but if they don't reach anyone, you don't pay.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes they upload the forms there instead of mailing them. Might be worth a look!

This is ridiculous. The system is clearly broken and they don't care about us at all. We need to organize and demand better service!

Preach! 🙌 I'm so tired of feeling like we're just numbers to them. We're real people with real problems!

Calm down, Karen. They're probably just understaffed like everyone else rn

Understaffed or not, it's their job to make sure we get our benefits. We shouldn't have to jump through hoops every month!

I've been dealing with benefit issues for over a year now, and I've learned a few tricks that might help: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of when you should receive forms, when you actually receive them (if ever), and all your attempts to contact them. 2. Use multiple contact methods. Try phone, email, and even snail mail if they have a physical address. 3. Check your spam folder regularly. Sometimes important emails end up there. 4. See if there's a local office you can visit in person. Face-to-face interactions can sometimes yield better results. 5. Consider reaching out to your local representative or ombudsman. They might be able to help push things along. 6. Join or create a local support group. Strength in numbers, and you might learn some valuable tips from others in the same boat. 7. If all else fails, consider seeking legal advice. There might be laws or regulations that protect you in these situations. Hope this helps! Don't give up, and remember that you're not alone in this struggle.

Wow, thank you so much for taking the time to write all this out! This is incredibly helpful. I'll definitely start implementing these strategies.

Have you tried faxing them? I know it sounds ancient, but sometimes old school methods work best with these outdated systems.

Faxing? What year is it? 😂 But seriously, I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the suggestion!
