EDD Continued Benefits Form Missing from Portal After Claim Extension Approval - Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my disability benefits. My claim extension was approved, but the continued benefits form isn't showing up in my online portal. It's been over a month since the approval, and I'm getting worried. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on what I should do next?

Ugh, I feel your pain! The EDD system is such a mess. Have you tried calling them? It's a pain, but sometimes that's the only way to get things sorted out.

I've been trying to call for days, but the lines are always busy. It's so frustrating!

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold that way.

I had a similar issue last year. Here's what worked for me: 1. Document everything: approval date, when you first noticed the missing form, etc. 2. Try accessing your portal from different browsers or devices. 3. If that doesn't work, send a secure message through the portal explaining the situation. 4. As a last resort, mail a written request for the form to your local EDD office. Hope this helps! Let us know how it goes.

This is solid advice. I'd add: take screenshots of your portal showing the missing form. Could come in handy if you need to prove you're not at fault.

Have you checked if theres a system maintenance or update going on? Sometimes that can cause forms to disappear temporarily.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

How long did it take to get through using this service?

It took about 2 hours for me, but I didn't have to sit by the phone the whole time. They just called when an agent was ready.

smh the EDD is such a joke. they probably lost your form in their 1980s computer system 🙄

For real tho. It's 2023, how is their system still so outdated? 🤦♂️

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They can sometimes help expedite these issues with EDD.

I hadn't thought of that! Do you know how I would go about contacting them?

Just google your city + 'assembly member'. Their office usually has a form or email for constituent services. They deal with EDD issues all the time!
