EDD certification valid for payments? Need help ASAP!

Hey everyone, I just certified for unemployment but I'm not sure if it's valid for payments. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm worried about not getting my benefits. Any advice on what I should do next?

I found a way to solve EDD certification payment uncertainty, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVUd1y1RIsc

I've been there, buddy. It's frustrating when you're not sure if everything went through correctly. Have you tried logging into your account to check the status? Sometimes it takes a day or two for the system to update.

Yeah, def give it a couple days. The EDD system is slower than molasses sometimes 🙄

Ugh, the EDD is such a mess. I certified last week and still haven't seen any payments. It's like they're playing games with our lives.

Hey, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone at EDD! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

I was skeptical at first too, but I tried it and it actually worked. Saved me hours of frustration.

20 bucks tho? That's kinda steep when we're already struggling 😬

I get it, but for me it was worth it to finally get some answers. Beats calling 100 times a day and getting nowhere.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check your certification answers. Make sure you didn't accidentally input something wrong. 2. Look for any pending issues on your account. Sometimes there's a flag that needs to be cleared. 3. If you see nothing wrong, try calling EDD. Be prepared to wait on hold for a long time. 4. If you can't get through, consider reaching out to your local assembly member's office. They can sometimes help push things through. 5. Keep certifying every two weeks, even if you're not seeing payments. You don't want to miss out if they backpay you. 6. Document everything. Keep a record of when you certified, any messages you receive, and any calls you make. Hang in there. The system is frustrating, but persistence usually pays off.

I swear, dealing with EDD is like trying to nail jello to a wall. Been at it for months and still no resolution. Anyone else feel like theyre just throwing darts in the dark?

Preach! 🙌 It's a total clown show. I've had better luck talking to my cat about quantum physics than getting straight answers from EDD.

LOL same boat here. Sometimes I think they're playing a sick game of 'how long can we make them wait'

Pro tip: if you're having trouble, try reaching out to your local assemblyperson or state senator. Their office can sometimes cut through the red tape and get answers from EDD faster than we can on our own.
