EDD Overdue Form Update - Need Help ASAP!
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle. I just realized I have an overdue form for my unemployment benefits that needs updating. Problem is, I'm not sure which specific form it is or what the deadline was. Has anyone dealt with this before? Any advice on how to handle late updates or where to find the right form? I'm kinda freaking out here.

Ugh, been there done that. The unemployment system is a mess. First thing you should do is log into your account and check your inbox. They usually send notifications about overdue forms there. If you can't find it, call the EDD office ASAP. Better to deal with it now than wait and risk losing benefits.

•Yeah, calling can be a nightmare. I usually try right when they open or just before closing. Sometimes you get lucky.

Hey, I actually found a way to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? How long did you have to wait?

•It worked for me! I waited about 2 hours, but I was able to do other stuff while the service was on hold. When an agent picked up, my phone rang and I was connected.

•20 bucks tho? Idk man, seems steep for something that should be free 🤔

•I get it, but for me it was worth it. Spent way more time and frustration trying to call myself. Sometimes you gotta spend money to save time 🤷♂️

Listen up, because I've been through this rodeo before. Here's what you need to do: 1. Don't panic. Seriously, it's not the end of the world. 2. Log into your UI Online account ASAP. 3. Check your inbox for any messages about overdue forms. 4. Look for a section called 'Incomplete Forms' or something similar. 5. If you can't find the form online, you might need to call. 6. Be prepared with your claim ID, SSN, and any correspondence you've received. 7. If you do find the form, fill it out completely and submit it right away. 8. Include a brief explanation for why it's late if there's a comment section. 9. Follow up with a phone call to make sure they received it. 10. Keep checking your account daily for any updates or new messages. Remember, the EDD is swamped, so be patient but persistent. Good luck!

•Totally agree. We need to push for reform. This isn't working for anyone except maybe the bureaucrats 🙄

Quick question - does anyone know if theres a grace period for submitting late forms? Or are we just SOL if we miss a deadline?

Pro tip: take screenshots of EVERYTHING. Every form you submit, every confirmation page, every message in your inbox. You never know when you'll need proof later on. EDD has 'lost' my forms before and having screenshots saved my butt.

Hey OP, what state are you in? The process can vary depending on where you are. Might help to know so people can give more specific advice.

idk if this helps but I had a similar issue last month. Turned out the 'overdue form' was actually just a regular certification that got flagged for some reason. Might be worth checking your past certifications to see if any are marked as pending or incomplete.

Guys I'm so done with EDD. Been waiting 3 months for them to sort out an 'eligibility issue' and now I'm behind on rent. Anyone know if there's legal aid available for this stuff?
