EDD: Can't get through on phone for case info. Any tips?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to get some info on my case but I can't seem to get through to anyone. I've been calling for days and keep getting stuck on hold. Has anyone had any luck getting through? Any tips or tricks would be really appreciated. I'm starting to get worried about my benefits and I really need to speak with someone.

I found a way to solve long EDD phone wait times, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USi7kk6MySI

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been in the same boat for weeks now. It's like they don't want us to actually talk to a real person. 🙄

For real tho. Its like they purposely make it impossible to get help. The whole system is broken af

Have you tried calling right when they open? I heard that's the best time to get through.

Yeah, I've tried that. No luck. It's always either busy or I'm on hold forever until they close 😫

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

20 bucks? Thats kinda steep. Is it really worth it?

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. After weeks of trying, I finally got through. The $20 was worth it to get my benefits sorted.

Pro tip: try calling your local assemblymember's office. They often have direct lines to EDD and can help push your case through. Worked for me!

This is actually great advice. My friend did this and got her issue resolved in like 2 days. Def worth a shot!

I've been dealing with this nonsense for MONTHS now. It's ridiculous how understaffed and inefficient the whole system is. I'm about ready to give up tbh 😞

Here's what I've learned after dealing with EDD for way too long: 1. Persistence is key. Keep calling, even if it feels hopeless. 2. Try different times of day. Early morning and late afternoon seem to work best. 3. Be prepared with all your info when you call. Have your claim number, ID, and any relevant dates ready. 4. If you get through, ask for a callback number or extension in case you get disconnected. 5. Document everything. Write down who you talked to and what they said. 6. Check your online account regularly for updates. 7. Consider reaching out to your local representatives for help. 8. Join Facebook groups or forums for support and tips from others in the same situation. Hope this helps someone. Stay strong, we're all in this together! 💪

Anyone else feel like we're living in a kafka novel? 🤡 The bureaucracy is unreal.

LOL for real. It's like they're purposely trying to make it as confusing and frustrating as possible 🙃

Have you tried reaching out on Twitter? Sometimes they respond faster there. Worth a shot!
