EDD Benefits Continuation Status - Anyone Actually Getting Through?
Hey everyone, I'm trying to find out about the status of my benefits continuation. I've been waiting for a while now and I'm getting worried. Has anyone had any luck getting through to the agency lately? They're supposed to be open from 8 am to 5 pm, but I can never seem to get a hold of anyone. Any tips or advice would be really appreciated!

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been trying to get through for weeks now. It's like they don't even want to help us 🙄

Have you tried emailing them? Sometimes that works better than calling

Yeah, I've tried emailing too. They just send an automated response saying they'll get back to me in 5-7 business days. It's been 3 weeks now 😑

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20? That's kinda steep just to talk to someone...

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. After weeks of trying, I finally got through to a real person. Worth every penny imo

Can you give more details about how it works? Is it legit?

Sure! You just go to their website, choose the department you need to call, pay the fee, and they start calling for you. When they get a live agent, your phone rings and you're connected. Saved me hours of frustration

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this for months: • Call right when they open at 8 am. Your chances are better. • If you get through, ask for a direct extension or email for follow-ups. • Keep a log of all your calls and attempts to contact them. • Check your online account regularly for updates. • If possible, visit a local office in person. Hope this helps someone! Stay persistent, y'all. 💪

Visiting in person is a great tip. I did that last week and actually got some answers!

Anyone else feel like the whole system is designed to make us give up? 🤔 It's like they're hoping we'll just stop trying to get our benefits...

Conspiracy theory: they're understaffed on purpose to save money 👀

Pro tip: if you're on Twitter, try tweeting at their official account. Sometimes they respond faster there because it's public
