Double charged for SDI payment - anyone else deal with this?

Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my disability payments. I got charged twice for something that should have been free. Has anyone else experienced this? It's frustrating dealing with these payment problems on top of everything else.

I found a way to solve disability payment double charges, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2v9qKbwLa54

Ugh, that sucks! I've had similar issues with overpayments before. Have you tried calling their customer service? It's a pain, but sometimes that's the only way to get things sorted out.

Yeah, I've been trying to get through to them all day. It's like impossible to reach a real person 😫

Pro tip: call right when they open in the morning. You might have better luck getting through!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

I was skeptical at first too, but it actually worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

$20 seems steep just to make a phone call. The system is so broken 🤦‍♂️

I get it, but for me, it was worth it to finally get my issue resolved. Time is money, ya know?

This is why I always screenshot my payments and keep a detailed log. It's saved my butt more than once when dealing with these bureaucratic nightmares.

Have you checked your bank statements? Sometimes it shows as two charges but one drops off after a few days. Might be worth waiting to see if it resolves itself.

Good point, I'll keep an eye on it. Fingers crossed 🤞

Here's what you need to do to resolve double charges on disability payments: 1. Document everything: Take screenshots of the charges, note dates and amounts. 2. Contact the disability office ASAP: Use their official website or phone number. 3. Be persistent: If you can't get through, keep trying at different times. 4. File a formal complaint: Many agencies have an ombudsman or complaint process. 5. Check your bank: Sometimes it's a temporary authorization that will drop off. 6. Consider seeking help: A disability advocate might be able to assist. 7. Know your rights: Familiarize yourself with the laws regarding disability payments in your state. Remember, errors happen, but you shouldn't be out of pocket. Don't give up until it's resolved!

Anyone else feel like they need a law degree just to navigate the disability system? 🤔

Hey OP, how long have you been on disability? I'm just starting the process and I'm already overwhelmed.

I've been on it for about 6 months now. It gets easier to navigate over time, but there's def a learning curve. Hang in there!
