DI claim still pending after 2 weeks - how long did yours take?

Hey everyone, I'm dealing with a pending DI claim and it's driving me nuts. I submitted everything and got a notice saying it's still being processed. Anyone else in the same boat? How long did it take for your claim to get approved? I'm starting to worry about bills piling up while I wait.

Ugh, I feel ya. My claim was pending for like 6 weeks before I got any update. It's frustrating af. Have you tried calling them? Sometimes that can speed things up.

6 weeks?! 😱 That's insane. I've only been waiting for 2 weeks but it feels like forever. Did you do anything special to get it moving?

Honestly, I just kept calling. It's a pain, but persistence pays off. Also, double-check that you submitted all the required docs. Sometimes they don't tell you if something's missing.

Calling works but its such a headache. I spent hours on hold and never got through. There has to be a better way!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Has anyone else tried it?

I was skeptical too, but it really worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

Here's what I've learned from my experience with DI claims: • Processing times vary wildly, from 2 weeks to 2 months • Make sure ALL your paperwork is in order • Follow up regularly - squeaky wheel gets the grease • If possible, submit everything online. It's usually faster • Keep a record of all your communications Hang in there, OP. The system is slow, but it (usually) works eventually.

lol welcome to the wonderful world of government efficiency 🤔 I swear they use carrier pigeons to process these claims

Carrier pigeons? You're giving them too much credit. Pretty sure it's just a bunch of hamsters running on wheels šŸ˜‚

LMAO you right. Those poor hamsters must be exhausted

Pro tip: if you can, get your state representative involved. I was stuck in limbo for months, called my rep's office, and suddenly my claim was processed within a week. They have special liaisons for this stuff.

This is solid advice. I did the same thing and it worked wonders. Don't be afraid to leverage your elected officials!

Anybody else notice that the DI system seems to be getting worse? I remember a few years ago it was much smoother. Budget cuts maybe?

Definitely! It's like they're trying to discourage people from claiming. Conspiracy theory: maybe that's the point? šŸ¤”

Nah, I think it's just the system being overloaded. Remember how crazy it got during covid? Probably still catching up.

Hey OP, what was the exact wording on your notice? Sometimes the language they use can give clues about whats really going on with your claim.
