Has anyone tried reaching out to them on social media? Sometimes companies respond faster when you call them out publicly.
I'm in the exact same boat - been waiting since Tuesday for my callback and nothing! It's beyond frustrating when you're dealing with a disability and need these benefits to survive. I've tried calling directly multiple times but just get stuck in an endless hold loop. Reading through all these comments, it sounds like this is a widespread issue and not just us being unlucky. Really appreciate everyone sharing their experiences and tips here - at least we know we're not alone in this mess. Going to try some of the suggestions like calling early morning and checking my spam folder. Fingers crossed something works soon! 🤞
Update: My claim was just approved! It took 11 days from when I filed online. You were all right - they calculated my benefits automatically based on previous wage reporting. My weekly benefit amount is $1,325 which seems correct based on my salary. Thanks everyone for your help and reassurance!
Congrats on the quick approval! That's really reassuring to hear. I'm actually going through a similar situation right now - filed my SDI claim two weeks ago for anxiety/depression and was also confused about the missing wage section. Your post and all these responses have been super helpful. Sounds like I just need to be patient and wait for the processing. Did you get any email notifications when your claim status changed, or did you have to keep checking the portal?
Classic EDD nonsense 🙄 Their system is always messing up. I swear they make it hard on purpose to discourage people from applying.
Come on, guys. They're probably just overwhelmed. Cut them some slack.
I had a similar issue with mismatched addresses on my documents. What worked for me was getting a certified copy of my most recent utility bill or bank statement that matches one of the addresses, then calling EDD to explain the discrepancy. They were able to manually verify my identity once I provided the additional proof of residence. It took about 2 weeks to resolve, but it's definitely fixable. Make sure to have all your documents ready when you call - they'll want to see everything at once.

One important thing to note - there's a time limit on requesting wage investigations. You need to do this within one year of the beginning date of your disability claim. So don't wait too long to get this process started!

•Oh thank you for that info! I definitely won't wait. I'm on it this week for sure.

Just wanted to add - if you're having trouble getting through to EDD by phone, try calling right at 8 AM when they open. I've had better luck getting through in the first 30 minutes of the day. Also, when you do get through, ask the representative to note in your file that you've been trying to resolve missing wages - this creates a paper trail that can help if you need to escalate later. Keep all your documentation organized (bank statements, any paystubs you have, W-2s) because they'll likely ask for multiple forms of proof. The wage investigation process can feel overwhelming, but based on what others have shared here, it sounds like it's definitely worth pursuing for the backpay and correct ongoing benefits!
