PSLF payment count issues with MOHELA causing forgiveness delays - need supervisor help!
Has anyone else been dealing with payment count issues for PSLF? I've been trying to get my account updated for over a month now, and it's causing delays in my loan forgiveness. Plus, I've ended up making extra payments because of this mess. I've got an open claim with resolutions/ECM, but I really need to talk to a supervisor to get this sorted out. It's so frustrating!

Ugh, I feel your pain! I've been dealing with similar issues for the past few months. It's like they're purposely making it difficult for us to get our loans forgiven. Have you tried calling them directly?

•Yeah, I've called multiple times but keep getting the runaround. It's so frustrating! I'm worried this will affect my forgiveness timeline.

•Same here! I've been on hold for hours and still no resolution. It's like they don't want us to succeed 🙄

•It's ridiculous how hard they make it. We're trying to do the right thing and they just throw up roadblocks. Hang in there, OP!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/kfgsWnbb8cU

•Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? $20 seems steep just to make a phone call.

•I was skeptical too, but it actually worked for me. Saved me hours of hold time. Worth it if you're desperate to talk to someone.

•Idk man, seems kinda sketchy. Has anyone else tried this?

•I get the skepticism, but it's legit. They even have a money-back guarantee if it doesn't work. Beats sitting on hold for hours!

Listen up, folks. I've been through this rodeo before, and here's what you need to do to get your PSLF payment count issues resolved: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and account updates. 2. Submit a formal complaint through the FSA Feedback System. This creates an official record. 3. Reach out to your state's Attorney General's office. They can sometimes light a fire under MOHELA. 4. Contact your congressional representative. They have staff dedicated to helping with federal issues. 5. If all else fails, consider filing a CFPB complaint. Remember, persistence is key. Don't let them wear you down. You've earned this forgiveness, so fight for it! 💪

Anyone else feel like MOHELA's system is held together with duct tape and prayers? How can they mess up something as simple as a payment count? 🤦♂️

Have you tried submitting an ECF recently? I heard they're backlogged and it's causing all sorts of issues with payment counts.

•Yeah, I submitted one about 2 months ago. Still waiting for it to be processed. Could be part of the problem.

•Oof, that might be it. I've heard some people waiting 3-4 months for ECF processing. The whole system is a mess rn.

Plot twist: what if we all just stopped paying and organized a mass protest? 🤔 Jk jk... unless? 👀

•Lol, don't tempt me! But fr, that would probably just mess up our credit scores and forgiveness chances. We're stuck playing by their rules 😩

Hey OP, have you checked if your employer is still eligible for PSLF? They changed some rules recently and some ppl got screwed over.

•Oh geez, I hadn't even thought of that. I'll double-check, thanks for the heads up!

I've been in the same boat with MOHELA for months now! What finally worked for me was escalating through multiple channels at once. I filed a complaint with the Department of Education's Federal Student Aid office AND submitted a complaint to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) on the same day. Within 2 weeks, I got a call from a MOHELA supervisor who actually had the authority to fix my payment count issues. Don't just rely on one approach - hit them from multiple angles! Also, make sure you have all your payment records and employment certification forms ready when you do talk to someone. Good luck! 🤞

•This is super helpful advice! I'm dealing with similar issues right now and getting nowhere with regular customer service. Did you notice any difference in how they handled your case once the CFPB complaint was filed? I'm wondering if I should go that route too since I've been stuck in this cycle for weeks now.
