If you are terminated are you eligible for unemployment - Washington ESD question
I got terminated from my job last Friday and I'm not sure if I can apply for unemployment benefits through Washington ESD. My supervisor said it was due to performance issues but I feel like they were just looking for reasons to let me go. I've been working there for almost 2 years and never had any written warnings or formal disciplinary actions. Can I still file for UI benefits even though I was terminated? I've heard conflicting information about this and I'm really stressed about paying my bills next month.

Just to clarify the rules - Washington ESD will deny benefits if you were terminated for misconduct, but not for poor performance or inability to do the job. Misconduct means willful violation of company rules or deliberate actions that harm the employer. Being bad at your job isn't misconduct.
