How long after verifying identity with Washington ESD will payment arrive?
Completed my ID verification with Washington ESD last Tuesday through their online portal after they flagged my account. I submitted my driver's license, social security card, and utility bill like they requested. My claim status changed from 'ID Required' to 'Processing' but I still haven't received any payments for the past 3 weeks of claims I filed. The website just shows 'Payment Pending' with no timeframe given. Has anyone been through this recently? How long did it take for your payments to actually hit your account after identity verification was completed?

took about 5 business days for me when I did mine in november. once they clear the ID flag the payments should process pretty quick

•That's reassuring, it's only been 4 business days for me so hopefully tomorrow then

•Mine took 7 business days but I had to verify through the phone instead of online which might have slowed it down

The ID verification process usually takes 3-7 business days once they receive your documents. After that, Washington ESD has to process any pending weekly claims that were held up during the verification period. You should see all your back payments come through at once when it clears.

•Will they pay all the weeks I claimed while waiting for ID verification? I'm worried about losing those payments

•Yes, as long as you filed your weekly claims on time, you'll get paid for all eligible weeks once the ID issue is resolved

I went through this exact same thing last month and it was driving me crazy not knowing when I'd get paid. Couldn't get through to anyone at Washington ESD to check on the status. Finally found this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that helped me get through to an actual person at ESD. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ. The agent was able to tell me exactly where my ID verification stood and that payments would be released within 2 days, which they were.

•Thanks for the tip! How much does that service cost?

•I don't remember the exact price but it was worth it just to get a straight answer about my claim status instead of wondering

WASHINGTON ESD IS SO SLOW WITH EVERYTHING!!! I've been waiting 2 weeks for my ID verification and they still haven't even looked at my documents. Meanwhile I can't pay rent and they act like it's no big deal. This system is broken.

•I feel you, the waiting is brutal when you need the money

•Did you submit everything they asked for? Sometimes they need additional documents if something wasn't clear in the initial submission

Check your payment history section in your eServices account. Sometimes the payment status updates there before you actually receive the direct deposit. Mine showed 'Payment Issued' about 2 days before the money hit my bank account.

•Good tip, I'll check that section more frequently

The backlog is real right now. My friend just got verified and it took almost 2 weeks total. But once it processes you get everything you're owed.

•Two weeks?? That's insane for just checking ID documents

•Yeah they're definitely overwhelmed but at least the money comes eventually

Make sure you keep filing your weekly claims even while waiting for ID verification. I made the mistake of not filing one week thinking my account was frozen and had to appeal to get that week back.

•Yes I've been filing every week, learned that lesson from reading other posts here

I used Claimyr too when I was stuck in ID verification hell. Got through to someone at Washington ESD in like 15 minutes instead of calling for hours. They told me my verification was actually complete but there was a separate issue holding up payments. Fixed it the same day.

•Wow that's exactly what I need, just to know what's actually happening with my claim

•15 minutes? That's amazing, I spent 3 hours yesterday trying to get through

Has anyone had issues with the ID verification getting rejected? I'm worried I uploaded the wrong documents somehow.

•If documents get rejected, they'll send you a message in your eServices account explaining what needs to be resubmitted

•Okay good to know, I haven't gotten any rejection messages yet

•3 weeks is way too long, something else must be going on with your claim

For what it's worth, I think the ID verification times vary a lot depending on how busy they are. I got lucky and mine was approved in 3 days last month, but I've heard of people waiting much longer during busy periods.

•That makes sense, probably depends on staffing levels

•Yeah I think end of year and beginning of year are always slower for them

UPDATE: Just wanted to share that I finally got through to Washington ESD using that Claimyr service someone mentioned. Found out my ID verification was actually completed 2 days ago but there was a separate work search issue holding up my payments. The agent fixed it on the spot and said I should see payments by Friday. Definitely worth using if you're stuck like I was.

The payment timeline seems pretty random honestly. Some people get paid in 3 days, others wait weeks. The system just isn't consistent.

I'm in the same boat, verified my identity 6 days ago and still waiting. At least I know I'm not the only one dealing with this uncertainty.

Just remember that once your ID is verified and payments start processing, you'll get everything you're owed including any back weeks. It's frustrating to wait but the money will come.

•I'm going through the exact same thing right now - verified my ID on Tuesday and it's been 4 business days. Seeing everyone's different timelines here, it sounds like anywhere from 3-14 days is normal depending on their workload. I'll probably try that Claimyr service if I don't see movement by early next week.
