If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

One more thing - if you've worked in other states recently, you might need to file in a different state depending on where you earned the most wages. Washington has reciprocity agreements with most states though.

I've only worked in Washington for the past three years so I should be good there.

0 coins

Yeah, if all your work history is in Washington, definitely file with Washington ESD. Makes everything simpler.

0 coins

Bottom line: file as soon as you're unemployed or have reduced hours. The system is designed to help people who act quickly. Waiting just hurts you financially.

Got it. Filing first thing Monday morning after my last day. Thanks everyone for all the advice!

0 coins

Good luck! The process seems scary at first but it's really not that bad once you get started.

if your claim gets stuck in adjudication like mine did, thats when you really need to be able to talk to someone at washington esd. regular calling is hopeless but that claimyr service actually works

0 coins

How long was your claim in adjudication?

0 coins

3 weeks before i used claimyr, then got it resolved within 2 days of talking to an agent

0 coins

Bottom line - file your claim today. Performance issues rarely count as disqualifying misconduct in Washington state. You paid into the system and you deserve benefits if you're eligible.

0 coins

You're right. I'm going to file online tonight. Thanks everyone for the encouragement and advice!

Good luck! Feel free to update us on how it goes.

washington esd makes this way more complicated than it needs to be. other states just give you a percentage of your last job's pay and call it good

0 coins

Actually, most states use similar base year calculations. Using just your last job's pay wouldn't be fair to people with variable income or seasonal work patterns.

0 coins

i guess that makes sense but it's still confusing as hell

0 coins

Bottom line: if your benefit amount seems wrong, don't just accept it. Get your pay records together and contact Washington ESD to have them explain the calculation. I've seen too many people miss out on money they were entitled to because they didn't question the initial determination.

Thanks everyone for all the info! I'm definitely going to gather my W-2s and try to get through to someone at Washington ESD to go over my calculation step by step.

If you can't get through the regular way, that Claimyr service I mentioned earlier really does work for getting past the phone queue. Good luck!

I tried calling Washington ESD to confirm my remaining weeks and couldn't get through. Finally used that Claimyr service someone mentioned and got connected right away. Found out I have 8 weeks left on my claim.

0 coins

How much did that cost? I might need to do the same thing.

0 coins

It was worth it to get a real answer instead of guessing. Much cheaper than missing out on benefits because I didn't understand my claim status.

0 coins

Bottom line: 26 weeks maximum for regular UI in Washington state. No extensions currently available. Plan accordingly!

0 coins

Thanks everyone for all the info. Sounds like I need to get serious about my job search since I'm already at 12 weeks.

0 coins

Good luck with your search! Remember to keep filing your weekly claims and logging your job search activities until you find work.

One more thing to consider - if you're receiving workers compensation for your injury, that has different rules than regular disability insurance when it comes to UI eligibility.

0 coins

Mine isn't workers comp since the injury happened outside of work. Just regular short-term disability through my employer's plan.

0 coins

That should make things simpler then. Workers comp has more restrictions when it comes to concurrent UI benefits.

0 coins

Bottom line - you probably can collect both if you're medically cleared for some type of work and actively seeking employment within your physical limitations. Just be transparent with Washington ESD and report everything correctly.

0 coins

Thanks everyone for all the helpful advice. I feel much more confident about moving forward with this now.

0 coins

Good luck! The most important thing is getting that medical clearance and being honest about your work restrictions.
