The whole system can be confusing but once you get your first payment it becomes more routine. Just make sure to file your weekly claims on time every week - you can do it online or by phone.
Bottom line is that unemployment benefits are meant to replace part of your income while you look for work, not all of it. Budget accordingly and use the time to focus on your job search.
The Wednesday deposit schedule has been consistent for me except during the week of Thanksgiving and Christmas when everything was delayed by a day. Other than holidays, I can count on getting paid every Wednesday.
One thing to watch out for - if Washington ESD sends you any correspondence or requests for additional information, respond immediately. I ignored a letter asking for wage verification because I thought it was spam and they stopped my payments for 2 weeks until I got it sorted out with Claimyr's help getting through to an agent.
This is exactly why I keep that Claimyr bookmark handy. Never know when you'll need to actually talk to someone at Washington ESD quickly.
For anyone still confused, the key things to remember: 1) Base year is specific quarters, not just your last job, 2) Highest quarter earnings determine your weekly amount, 3) There are minimum and maximum limits, 4) Keep your pay records in case there are discrepancies. Hope this helps!
One last tip - if you think Washington ESD calculated your benefits wrong, you can appeal the determination. You have 30 days from when you receive the letter to file an appeal. Don't wait if you think there's an error!
For what it's worth, I qualified for unemployment after working for only 6 months at my job because I had worked at another place earlier in the year. So like others said, it really is about your total earnings over the base period, not just one job.
Just remember that if you do end up filing for unemployment, you'll need to file your weekly claims every week to keep getting benefits. Don't forget to do that even if nothing changes with your job search.

For what it's worth, I've never had a payment just disappear from Washington ESD. If it shows paid, it's coming. Just might take an extra day or two.

UPDATE: Just wanted to let everyone know my payment came through this morning! Thanks for all the advice and reassurance. Guess it was just the system delays people mentioned.
