If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

For what it's worth, I've never had a payment just disappear from Washington ESD. If it shows paid, it's coming. Just might take an extra day or two.

That's reassuring, thank you. I'll try to be patient.

Same here, they're slow but reliable with payments.

UPDATE: Just wanted to let everyone know my payment came through this morning! Thanks for all the advice and reassurance. Guess it was just the system delays people mentioned.

Great news! Glad it worked out.

This is actually the OP - payment finally came through Thursday morning. Thanks everyone for the help!

The whole system can be confusing but once you get your first payment it becomes more routine. Just make sure to file your weekly claims on time every week - you can do it online or by phone.

0 coins

What happens if you miss filing a weekly claim?

0 coins

You can sometimes file late claims but it's better to stay on schedule. Set a reminder for the same day each week.

Bottom line is that unemployment benefits are meant to replace part of your income while you look for work, not all of it. Budget accordingly and use the time to focus on your job search.

Good advice. I'm treating this as temporary assistance while I find my next opportunity.

0 coins

That's the right attitude. Best of luck with your job search and the claims process!

The Wednesday deposit schedule has been consistent for me except during the week of Thanksgiving and Christmas when everything was delayed by a day. Other than holidays, I can count on getting paid every Wednesday.

0 coins

Good to know about holiday delays. I'll keep that in mind for future planning.

One thing to watch out for - if Washington ESD sends you any correspondence or requests for additional information, respond immediately. I ignored a letter asking for wage verification because I thought it was spam and they stopped my payments for 2 weeks until I got it sorted out with Claimyr's help getting through to an agent.

I'll make sure to check my mail and online messages regularly. Thanks for the warning!

This is exactly why I keep that Claimyr bookmark handy. Never know when you'll need to actually talk to someone at Washington ESD quickly.

For anyone still confused, the key things to remember: 1) Base year is specific quarters, not just your last job, 2) Highest quarter earnings determine your weekly amount, 3) There are minimum and maximum limits, 4) Keep your pay records in case there are discrepancies. Hope this helps!

Perfect summary! Saving this comment for future reference.

Wish they taught this stuff in school instead of having to figure it out when you need unemployment benefits

One last tip - if you think Washington ESD calculated your benefits wrong, you can appeal the determination. You have 30 days from when you receive the letter to file an appeal. Don't wait if you think there's an error!

0 coins

Good to know! My calculation seems right now that I understand it, but that's important info for others.

0 coins

Yeah appeals are definitely worth it if the numbers don't add up. I successfully appealed when they missed wages from one of my employers.

For what it's worth, I qualified for unemployment after working for only 6 months at my job because I had worked at another place earlier in the year. So like others said, it really is about your total earnings over the base period, not just one job.

0 coins

That's reassuring to hear! It sounds like the system is actually pretty fair about considering all your work history.

0 coins

Exactly! They want to help people who've been working and contributing to the system, regardless of whether it was all at one job or multiple jobs.

0 coins

Just remember that if you do end up filing for unemployment, you'll need to file your weekly claims every week to keep getting benefits. Don't forget to do that even if nothing changes with your job search.

0 coins

Good reminder! I'll make note of that if I end up needing to file.

0 coins

Yeah, missing your weekly claim filing can mess up your benefit payments, so it's important to stay on top of it.
