UPDATE: Just got off the phone with Washington ESD using that Claimyr service someone mentioned. Turns out there was a flag on my account from a random quality review. Agent cleared it and said payment should process tomorrow. Would have never known without calling!
I had trouble with the Washington ESD phone lines too when I needed to ask about my claim timing. Finally got through using Claimyr after reading about it in another forum. The agent was able to confirm everything about when benefits would start based on my filing date.
Bottom line for anyone reading this thread: file your Washington ESD unemployment claim immediately after losing your job. Don't wait for paperwork, don't wait for your final check, don't wait to see if you'll find a new job quickly. Just file online right away.
Bottom line - if you lost your job through no fault of your own and worked for a decent amount of time in the past year and a half, you probably qualify. The application is free and only takes about 30 minutes. Just do it and stop worrying about it.
Just to add one more thing - if you do get approved, make sure you understand your weekly benefit amount and how long you can collect. In Washington it's usually up to 26 weeks but can be extended during high unemployment periods. Plan your job search accordingly.
Pro tip: take a screenshot every time you file your weekly claim showing the confirmation. I had a situation where Washington ESD said I didn't file one week but I had proof that I did. Saved me weeks of hassle trying to straighten it out.
The bottom line is Washington ESD pays weekly but it's not guaranteed or automatic. You have to work for it every week by filing your claim, and any little issue can stop payments cold. But if you follow the rules and file consistently, you should see money in your account within 3-4 days of filing each week.
Just remember if you run into problems, don't waste days trying to call Washington ESD. Use that Claimyr service to actually get through to someone who can help.

If you run into any roadblocks with Washington ESD during your claim period, there are resources to help. That Claimyr service people mentioned is one option, but there are also legal aid societies and workforce development programs that can assist.
