Don't forget that if you do any part-time work while collecting benefits, you need to report those wages when you file your weekly claim. They'll deduct from your benefits but you can still collect partial benefits if you work limited hours.
Overall, based on what you've described, you sound like you'll qualify easily. 8 months of work, decent wages, laid off through no fault of your own - that's a textbook case for approval. Just get your application in soon and start looking for work.
you've got all the info you need now. just take it step by step and don't overthink it. the system is designed to help people like you get back on their feet
Update us on how it goes! And remember, if you hit any snags with Washington ESD communication, there are solutions out there. The Claimyr service I mentioned earlier has helped a lot of people get their claims resolved faster. But hopefully you won't need it and everything will go smoothly!
UPDATE: Just filed my claim online. Thanks everyone for the encouragement and advice. Fingers crossed it goes smoothly but at least now I know what to expect if it doesn't.
this whole thread is making me realize I should have applied when I got fired 3 months ago... ugh probably too late now
Manufacturing layoffs are usually considered no-fault, so you shouldn't have any issues with eligibility. The benefit calculation should be straightforward for you.

Bottom line: if you worked regularly in the past 15 months and made at least minimum wage for decent hours, you probably qualify. The system is designed to help people who lost work through no fault of their own.

Thanks everyone! I think I have enough information now to either file or check my wage history first. This was really helpful.
