If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Don't forget about the waiting week. Even if you get approved, there's usually a one-week waiting period before benefits start. Plan your budget accordingly.

Good to know. I'll have to stretch my savings a bit longer then.

0 coins

Yeah, it's frustrating but just part of the process. The benefits will be backdated to when you filed though.

Whatever you do, don't quit your next job without having another one lined up. It's much harder to get unemployment if you quit voluntarily, even if you have good reasons.

0 coins

Definitely learned that lesson. I'll be more careful about job security going forward.

Anyone else notice how hard it is to get straight answers about this stuff from Washington ESD directly? Their website has all this info but it's scattered across like 50 different pages.

0 coins

Yeah their website organization is terrible. I usually end up having to call or use something like Claimyr to talk to an actual person who can give me a clear answer.

0 coins

Seems like talking to someone is definitely the way to go for complicated questions like this.

Bottom line - you need $4,128 total wages in your base period (first 4 of last 5 completed quarters) AND wages in at least 2 of those quarters. Your 8 months plus previous part-time work might be enough depending on when you worked and how much you earned.

0 coins

Thanks for the clear summary. That helps me understand what to look for when I check my wage history.

0 coins

No problem. The key is having wages spread across multiple quarters, not just concentrated in one or two quarters.

If anyone is still having trouble getting benefit information from Washington ESD I just tried that Claimyr service mentioned earlier and it actually worked. Got connected to an agent who explained my whole claim status and benefit calculation. Worth checking out if you're stuck.

0 coins

How quickly did they get you connected?

0 coins

Less than 5 minutes. Such a relief after weeks of trying to call on my own.

Thanks everyone for all the info! This thread was super helpful. I feel like I actually understand how the benefit calculation works now instead of just guessing.

0 coins

Agreed! Way more helpful than the Washington ESD website.

Glad we could help. Good luck with your claim!

One thing to keep in mind - if you're getting the maximum benefit amount, you'll exhaust your claim faster than someone getting a lower amount. The total benefit amount you're eligible for is still based on your earnings, not your weekly amount.

0 coins

How do they determine how many weeks you get benefits for?

0 coins

It's based on your total base period wages divided by your weekly benefit amount, up to a maximum of 26 weeks.

0 coins

Thanks everyone for all this info! This has been way more helpful than anything I found on the Washington ESD website. I feel much more prepared to file my claim now.

0 coins

Glad we could help! Make sure you file as soon as you're eligible - there's no benefit to waiting.

0 coins

Agreed, this thread answered all my questions. Really appreciate everyone sharing their experiences.

0 coins

One last thing - make sure you file your claim as soon as possible after becoming unemployed. There's no waiting period to file and you can't get retroactive benefits for weeks you didn't claim.

0 coins

Good point. I'll remember that if things don't work out with this job.

And keep all your employment documents organized just in case!
