For anyone reading this thread later - if you're having trouble getting through to Washington ESD on the phone to ask about benefit duration or any other questions, that Claimyr service mentioned earlier really does work. I was skeptical but tried it when my claim got stuck and it connected me to an agent within an hour instead of me calling for days.
Definitely legit. The video demo at https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ shows exactly how it works if you want to check it out first.
Bottom line - plan for 26 weeks maximum, file every week without fail, document your job search meticulously, and report all income honestly. Follow those rules and you'll get your full benefit period.
Just want to add that your benefit amount stays the same for your entire benefit year unless you have qualifying circumstances for a recalculation. So once you figure out why it's $387, that's what it'll be every week (minus any deductions for part-time work).
Hope you get it figured out! The math should work out once you have the right numbers to plug in. Don't give up if it doesn't make sense at first - these calculations can be tricky.
just remember you have to do the job search requirements even during adjudication. keep track of where you apply because they can audit your job search log at any time
Bottom line - being fired doesn't automatically disqualify you from unemployment. File your claim, be honest about what happened, and let Washington ESD make the determination. Most terminations for performance issues result in approved claims.
The appeals process saved my butt last year. I was denied initially but won on appeal. Definitely worth fighting if you think the denial was wrong. Don't give up!
Final thought - even if you're not sure you have a strong case, it's often worth appealing anyway. The worst thing that happens is they uphold the original decision, but you might be surprised and win.

This thread should be pinned or something. Denial reasons are one of the most confusing parts of the whole unemployment process and Washington ESD doesn't explain things clearly in their letters.

•Agreed. The lack of clear communication from ESD creates so much unnecessary stress and confusion.

•Exactly! A simple checklist of what they're looking for would save everyone so much time and anxiety.
