If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Been there, done that. Working part-time while on unemployment is totally doable if you're careful about reporting. Just don't try to cut corners or hide anything.

Thanks for all the advice everyone! I feel much more confident about taking this part-time job now.

Good luck! Just remember to report everything accurately and you should be fine.

One more thing to remember - if you're working part-time, you still need to be actively looking for full-time work and meeting all the other unemployment requirements. The job search requirement doesn't go away.

That's a good point. I almost forgot about that requirement. Thanks for the reminder!

Good luck with your claim! The whole process can be stressful but once you get approved and into the routine of filing weekly claims, it's pretty straightforward. Just stay on top of the job search requirements and report any income accurately.

Thank you! Everyone's advice has been super helpful. I'm going to file my claim today and start documenting my job search activities right away.

Smart approach! The sooner you file, the sooner you can start collecting. And don't stress too much - you've got this!

One last tip - if you have multiple jobs or complex work history, it might take longer for Washington ESD to calculate your benefits. I had three part-time jobs and it took almost a month to get my monetary determination.

I only had the one job so hopefully that keeps things simple. Thanks for all the help everyone!

Yeah single employer claims usually process much faster. You should be good to go!

thanks for posting this question OP, I'm in a similar situation with a knee injury and this thread has been super helpful for understanding my options

Glad it helped! This has been way more complicated than I expected but at least now I have a better idea of what I'm dealing with.

Bottom line: yes you can apply for both, but you need to be very careful about how you present your situation. Get medical documentation, be consistent across applications, and don't hesitate to get professional guidance when needed. Good luck!

Thank you everyone for all the advice! I feel much more prepared to navigate this process now.

File your claim today if you haven't already. There's a waiting week anyway so the sooner you apply, the sooner you might start getting benefits. Good luck!

You're right, I need to stop overthinking and just file. Thanks everyone for the advice and encouragement!

One more vote for trying Claimyr if you need to talk to Washington ESD directly. I was stuck in adjudication limbo for weeks and they helped me get through to someone who could actually explain what was happening with my claim.

0 coins

Did they help you get your claim approved faster or just get information?

0 coins

Got information that helped me understand the process. Having actual answers made the wait much less stressful.

I tried using that Claimyr service someone mentioned earlier and it actually worked great. Was able to talk to someone at Washington ESD in about 12 minutes when I had questions about whether I filed too early (spoiler alert: you can't file too early, only too late). Definitely recommend if you need to talk to someone quickly.

Good to hear another positive experience with that. Might try it myself if I run into issues.

Bottom line from someone who's been through this multiple times unfortunately - file the day after your last day of work. Period. End of story. Don't listen to anyone who tells you to wait. You'll thank yourself later.

Crystal clear advice. Thanks to everyone who responded - I'm definitely glad I asked and even more glad I already filed!
