I'm in a similar situation - filed my claim about 10 days ago and the waiting is nerve-wracking! Reading through everyone's experiences here is really reassuring though. It sounds like 2-4 weeks is pretty normal for straightforward cases. I keep obsessively checking my account multiple times a day hoping for updates. Has anyone noticed if there are certain days of the week when Washington ESD tends to update claim statuses more often?
I'm in the same boat, verified my identity 6 days ago and still waiting. At least I know I'm not the only one dealing with this uncertainty.
Just remember that once your ID is verified and payments start processing, you'll get everything you're owed including any back weeks. It's frustrating to wait but the money will come.
I'm going through the exact same thing right now - verified my ID on Tuesday and it's been 4 business days. Seeing everyone's different timelines here, it sounds like anywhere from 3-14 days is normal depending on their workload. I'll probably try that Claimyr service if I don't see movement by early next week.
This gives me hope. I've been worried about this exact situation for months. Seeing that it worked out for someone else is really encouraging.
This is such valuable information! I'm currently in a similar situation where I'm about to be cleared to return to work after being on disability for several months. My biggest concern was whether there would be complications transitioning to unemployment benefits, but seeing your successful experience really puts my mind at ease. I'm definitely going to make sure I have all my medical clearance documentation ready before I apply. Did Washington ESD ask you any specific questions about the gap in employment due to disability, or was the medical clearance sufficient to explain everything?
Thank you everyone for your responses! I finally managed to get through to ESD this morning. Turns out one adjudication is about my job separation (since I quit my previous job for a new offer that fell through) and the other is about some part-time gig work I did last year that I completely forgot to mention. The agent said they're trying to determine if I reported all my earnings correctly. They couldn't give me an exact timeline but said both issues are assigned to adjudicators now. I also filed a hardship request as someone suggested. Fingers crossed this gets resolved soon!
That's good news that both issues are actively assigned! The job separation one might take some time since they'll need to verify your story about the rescinded offer. For the gig work, make sure you have documentation of all earnings ready in case they request it. Hope it gets resolved quickly for you.
Glad you finally got some answers! The gig work issue should resolve pretty quickly once they verify your earnings - just make sure you have all your 1099s or payment records ready. The job separation one might take longer since they'll probably contact your previous employer to confirm your story about the rescinded offer. Keep checking your eServices account daily for any new questionnaires they might send. Good luck with the hardship request too!
I'm dealing with something similar right now - also have two adjudications pending for about 2.5 weeks. Reading through all these responses is really helpful, especially learning that they won't release ANY payments until ALL issues are resolved. That explains why I'm still stuck in limbo even though one of my issues seems pretty straightforward. The lack of transparency is definitely the worst part - you're left guessing what's going on with your own claim. Thanks to everyone who shared their experiences, it helps to know we're not alone in this frustrating process.

•Unfortunately, ESD doesn't always proactively tell claimants about all available programs. The Training Benefits Program (TB) has been around for years but isn't widely advertised. You have to specifically ask about it or work with a knowledgeable WorkSource counselor. It's one of several programs that many people miss out on simply because they don't know to ask. Always worth asking about ALL possible options when working with any government agency.

As someone who just went through this process, I can confirm the Training Benefits Program is real and worth pursuing! I was in a similar situation last fall - my regular UI was about to run out and I was panicking. I applied for the Training Benefits Program and got approved for a cybersecurity certification program at our local community college. I'm now getting benefits for the full duration of the 18-month program, which gives me time to completely retrain for a growing field. The key is to start the application process immediately - it took about 6 weeks from application to approval, so don't wait until your last week of benefits. Also, make sure the training program you choose is on ESD's approved list and leads to an "in-demand" occupation. WorkSource counselors can help you figure out what qualifies in your area. Good luck!

•This is so helpful to hear from someone who actually went through it! I'm definitely going to start the application process this week. Did you have to quit job searching while in the training program, or can you still look for work during the certification? Also, do you know if they have any age restrictions? I'm worried that at 54 they might prioritize younger applicants for these programs.
