If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I think we can all agree that ANY situation involving Washington ESD is pretty much the worst case scenario. Whether it's adjudication, appeals, overpayments, or just trying to file a basic claim, the system seems designed to make people give up. The fact that we're all here comparing horror stories says everything about how broken it is.

Right? You'd think a system designed to help people during difficult times would actually be helpful.

0 coins

The frustrating part is that most other states have figured out how to make their unemployment systems work reasonably well. Washington ESD seems uniquely dysfunctional.

After reading all these responses, I'm convinced that the worst type of unemployment situation is whatever one you're currently stuck in. They all suck in their own special way, and Washington ESD seems determined to make every process as difficult as possible. Thanks for sharing your experiences everyone - at least now I know I'm not alone in this mess.

0 coins

Definitely not alone! This thread has been both depressing and comforting at the same time.

0 coins

Exactly! It's good to know other people understand the frustration, even if the situation itself is terrible.

0 coins

this has been really helpful. i was worried i wasnt going to get much but sounds like washington actually has pretty good unemployment benefits compared to other places

0 coins

Same here! I was dreading having to file for unemployment but at least the benefits seem reasonable.

One last thing to mention - remember you still have to meet all the job search requirements even if you're getting the maximum benefit. Washington ESD requires 3 job search activities per week and you have to keep a log of what you did.

0 coins

Yeah they're pretty strict about the job search requirements. Make sure you understand what counts as a valid job search activity.

0 coins

Exactly. And keep good records because they can audit your job search log at any time.

Look into temporary assistance programs while you're waiting for this to get resolved. United Way has resources for emergency help with utilities and rent. Don't wait until you're completely broke to ask for help.

0 coins

That's really good advice. I'll look into what's available in my area.

Also check with your former employer's HR department. Sometimes they have resources or can provide documentation that helps with your claim.

Just wanted to follow up - did you end up filing the claim? Really curious how this turns out since I'm in a somewhat similar situation myself.

0 coins

Good luck! Hope it works out better than you expected.

0 coins

Keeping my fingers crossed for you. You never know until you try!

been getting unemployment for 2 months now and the weekly amount covers my rent and utilities but not much else. budget carefully and apply for everything you qualify for

0 coins

That's about what I expected. Better than nothing though while job hunting.

0 coins

yeah definitely better than nothing just dont count on it being enough for your normal lifestyle

The benefit amount calculation can seem complicated but Washington ESD customer service can walk you through it if you can get through to them. I finally reached an agent last week using some callback service and they explained exactly how my amount was calculated.

Thanks everyone for all the info! This gives me a much better idea of what to expect.

Glad I could help with the Claimyr suggestion for anyone struggling to reach Washington ESD. Sometimes you just need to talk to a real person to get your questions answered.

0 coins

I had to use that Claimyr service too when I couldn't get through to Washington ESD about my eligibility questions. Saved me days of calling and actually got me real answers about my specific situation.

0 coins

Seems like a lot of people have had success with that. Might be worth trying if I can't get through the normal way.

0 coins

Bottom line - you need work history in at least two quarters and sufficient wages during your base period. The exact amounts depend on what you earned, but Washington ESD has specific formulas they use to determine eligibility.

Thanks everyone for all the helpful info! This gives me a much better understanding of how it all works.
