If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Quick question - were you laid off or fired? Because if you were fired for misconduct you might not qualify. Being laid off due to lack of work is usually fine though.

Laid off due to budget cuts. A bunch of us got let go at the same time.

0 coins

Perfect, that should be straightforward then. Mass layoffs are pretty clear cut for unemployment eligibility.

0 coins

One more thing - if you find temporary or part-time work while collecting benefits, you can still get partial unemployment. You just report your earnings on your weekly claim and they'll adjust your benefit amount.

0 coins

Just make sure to report ALL earnings honestly. They cross-check with tax records and you don't want to get hit with an overpayment.

This whole thread has been super helpful! Filing my claim tomorrow morning.

The real question is whether WorkSource offices stay open during shutdowns. Some of those have federal funding and might close, which could make it harder to meet job search requirements.

0 coins

Good point! I use WorkSource for job search activities. Would hate to lose access to their computers and job posting system.

Amina Bah

WorkSource WA locations might have reduced services during federal shutdowns since they receive some federal workforce funding. But Washington ESD accepts online job search activities too, so you have alternatives.

thanks everyone this makes me feel much better about filing my weekly claim on Sunday. Was honestly considering skipping it thinking the system might be down.

0 coins

Never skip filing your weekly claim! That's the fastest way to mess up your benefits. Always file even if you're not sure.

0 coins

Exactly! Missing a weekly claim filing can cause all sorts of problems with Washington ESD. Better to file and have it rejected than not file at all.

Don't overthink it too much. Follow the basic requirements, file on time, look for work, and report everything accurately. Most people get through it without major drama.

0 coins

You're right - I'm probably overthinking this. Thanks for the reality check.

The most important thing is to stay organized and keep good records. If anything goes wrong, having documentation makes all the difference in getting it resolved quickly.

0 coins

I'm starting a spreadsheet today to track everything. Thanks for all the advice everyone!

0 coins

That's a great approach. You'll do fine with that level of organization.

Just went through this process last month. Key things they wanted: complete job search records, proof of availability for work, documentation of any earnings, and verification that I met work search requirements every single week I claimed. Took about 5 weeks but everything was approved.

0 coins

Thanks for the detailed breakdown. Did you have to provide anything beyond what you normally keep track of?

0 coins

Not really, just had to organize it better and provide more detail than usual. The WorkSourceWA records helped a lot as backup documentation.

0 coins

OP, don't let this stress you out too much. Audits are random quality control measures. As long as you've been honest and following the rules, you'll be fine. Focus on organizing your records and responding promptly to whatever they ask for.

0 coins

Thanks everyone for all the advice and reassurance. Feeling much more prepared to handle this now. Going to spend this weekend getting all my documentation together.

Good plan. And remember, if you need to talk to Washington ESD about any part of the process, don't waste weeks trying to call on your own. There are better ways to reach them now.

0 coins

Bottom line: Plan for 26 weeks maximum, but don't count on using all of them. Start job hunting immediately and treat unemployment as temporary income replacement, not a long-term solution.

0 coins

That's great advice. I'm treating this as a bridge while I find my next opportunity, not as a vacation from work.

0 coins

Exactly the right mindset. The people who struggle most are the ones who treat unemployment like a break instead of actively working to get back into the workforce.

0 coins

Don't forget that if you're collecting unemployment, you might also be eligible for other assistance programs while you're looking for work. It's worth checking what else might be available to help stretch your budget during those 26 weeks.

0 coins

Good point! I should look into what other resources might be available. Every little bit helps when you're between jobs.

0 coins

SNAP benefits, utility assistance, job training programs - there are often resources available that people don't know about. Your local WorkSource office might have information about additional programs.
