If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

For anyone still reading this - I found that Washington ESD also sends email reminders about filing your weekly claim if you sign up for notifications.

Oh that's perfect! I'll definitely sign up for those email reminders.

0 coins

Yeah, it's in your account settings. Just another way to make sure you don't miss a week.

0 coins

Summary for anyone skimming: File your weekly claim AFTER the week ends, most people do it on Sunday for the previous Sunday-Saturday week. Set up reminders so you don't forget!

Perfect summary! That's exactly what I needed to know.

Glad this thread helped clear things up for you!

UPDATE: I tried using Claimyr like someone mentioned and actually got through to Washington ESD! Turns out my employer did report my wages wrong - they had me down as working only 6 months instead of 8. The agent said I need to get corrected information from my employer and resubmit. At least now I know what the problem is!

0 coins

That's great news! Getting the correct wage information should resolve everything. Make sure your employer submits the corrected quarterly reports to Washington ESD directly.

wait this is the OP responding from a different account - thanks everyone for the help!

this thread was really helpful, bookmarking in case I ever need to appeal something with washington esd

same here, lots of good info about the wage requirements and appeal process

One last tip - if you end up having any issues or questions after the move, don't waste time trying to call Washington ESD the regular way. The wait times are insane and you'll just get frustrated.

0 coins

Yeah several people mentioned using Claimyr to actually get through to agents. Seems like that's the way to go if I need to talk to someone.

0 coins

Exactly. I wish I had known about it earlier. Would have saved me so much time and stress trying to get simple questions answered.

0 coins

Sounds like you've got good advice here. The move shouldn't affect your benefits at all as long as you stay on top of your weekly claims and job search requirements. Good luck!

Thank you! I really appreciate everyone taking the time to share their experiences. This thread has been super helpful.

That's what this community is for! We're all trying to navigate this unemployment system together.

0 coins

Bottom line - if you're making $4,200/month consistently, you'll probably get close to $850-900/week in unemployment benefits. That's assuming no gaps in your work history and you meet all the other requirements.

0 coins

Thanks everyone! This has been really helpful. Hopefully I won't need to file but at least I know what to expect.

0 coins

Hope your job situation works out!

One more thing - make sure you file right away if you do get laid off. There's no waiting period in Washington but you want to start the process as soon as possible since the first week is unpaid.

0 coins

Good point, I'll keep that in mind

0 coins

The timing of when you file can also matter for your benefit year. If you file early in the year vs late in the year, it might affect which quarters count toward your base period and potentially your benefit amount.

0 coins

That's true - Washington ESD uses a specific base period calculation, so timing can impact your weekly benefit amount, though not the 26 week duration.

0 coins

I filed in December so I'm hoping my base period included my best earning quarters from last year.

0 coins

Has anyone here actually used up all 26 weeks? I'm curious what happens at the end - do they send you a notice or does it just stop?

0 coins

yeah you get paperwork explaining everything. they dont just cut you off without warning

0 coins

If you're getting close to exhausting benefits and have questions about what's next, that's another good time to use Claimyr to speak with an agent. They can explain your options for reapplying or other programs you might qualify for.
