If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

One last tip - keep track of all your job search activities starting now. Washington requires you to make 3 job search contacts per week, and they can audit your records. Keep a log of where you applied, when, and what happened.

Yeah definitely start now. Some people get randomly selected for job search audits and if you can't prove you've been looking, they can disqualify you and make you pay benefits back.

The WorkSourceWA website is good for tracking job searches if you don't want to keep a manual log.

That's exactly why services like Claimyr exist. Until Washington ESD fixes their capacity issues, sometimes you need a workaround.

Bottom line for the original question: At $75k annually, you're looking at roughly $733-850 per week for up to 26 weeks, depending on your exact quarterly earnings. File immediately when you become unemployed and keep detailed job search records.

If your claim is taking longer than expected, it might be worth trying to contact Washington ESD directly. I know the phones are terrible but sometimes you can get through early in the morning or right when they open.

I've tried calling at 8am sharp when they open and still can't get through. The system is completely jammed.

This is exactly why I ended up using Claimyr - saved me from burning hours every day trying to get through on my own. Sometimes you just need to talk to an actual person to find out what's happening.

Just want to echo what others have said about filing weekly claims while you wait. I almost made the mistake of thinking I didn't need to do anything until my claim was approved. Thank goodness I read this forum!

Same here! I had no idea about the weekly claims requirement. This thread has been super helpful.

Glad people are finding this useful. The weekly claims requirement trips up a lot of first-time filers.

This whole thread has been super educational. I had no idea you could still get benefits with an outstanding overpayment. Bookmarking this for future reference!

Glad it was helpful! There's a lot of misinformation out there about unemployment rules.

Quick question - does the 25% offset apply to the first week or does it start after the waiting week?

Brandon Parker

•

Washington ESD eliminated the waiting week, so offsets start with your first payable week. No delay.

Got it, thanks for clarifying that!

Direct deposit is usually faster than the debit card option if you haven't set that up yet. The debit card can take an extra day sometimes.

I'm set up for direct deposit thankfully. Seemed like the better option when I was filling out the forms.

Definitely the right choice. The debit card has fees too for ATM withdrawals.
