One more thing to keep in mind - your benefit amount is locked in when you file your initial claim. Even if Washington raises the maximum benefit amounts during your claim period, your weekly amount won't increase until you file a new claim in a future benefit year.
Another option if you can't get through to Washington ESD is checking with WorkSource offices. They sometimes have staff who can help explain benefit calculations and answer general questions about unemployment insurance.
Good suggestion! I forgot about WorkSource. They've been helpful with job search requirements in the past, didn't know they could help with benefit questions too.
Sounds like you've got all the info you need! Working part-time while on unemployment is definitely doable. Just be honest with your reporting and you should be fine.
Washington ESD pays weekly - that's standard. I've helped several family members with their unemployment claims and they all get paid weekly. Your situation is not normal and you need to get it resolved ASAP.
Definitely weekly payments in Washington state. I've been collecting for 6 months and get paid every week without fail. Something is clearly wrong with your account if you're not seeing payments after 3 weeks of filing claims.
Update: I tried Claimyr this morning and got through to an agent within 20 minutes! Turns out there was a job search verification hold that wasn't showing up in my online account. They're reviewing my job search log now and said payments should start next week. Thanks everyone for the help!
Hope this all works out for you OP. The unemployment system isn't perfect but if you follow the rules and timing, it usually works eventually.
Been following this thread and wanted to add that if you do run into issues reaching Washington ESD, that Claimyr service people mentioned really does work. Used it last month when I had questions about my claim status and got connected right away.

One last tip - create your SecureAccess Washington (SAW) account first if you don't already have one. You'll need it to access the Washington ESD online services and it can take a few minutes to set up.

•Is that different from the regular Washington ESD website login?

•SAW is the state's unified login system. Once you have it, you can use it for unemployment, WorkSource, and other state services.

•Seems like a lot of people have had success with that. Good to know there's an option if I need it.

•Yeah the regular phone lines are basically useless during busy times. Having an alternative is definitely worth knowing about.
