For anyone still struggling to reach Washington ESD with questions about their benefit calculation, I'll mention Claimyr one more time. Really saved me from hours of frustration trying to get through on my own.
Thanks for all the info everyone. Filing my claim tomorrow and will report back what benefit amount I get approved for.
FINAL UPDATE: My claim was approved! Got a letter yesterday saying the adjudication found in my favor and I should receive 4 weeks of back pay within 2-3 business days. Thanks everyone for the advice and support!
About 3.5 weeks total. The Claimyr call definitely helped move things along once I knew what was causing the delay.
This thread is so helpful! I just entered adjudication yesterday and was panicking. At least now I know what to expect and have some options for getting information.
Sometimes I wonder if 26 weeks is enough time in today's job market. Took me 8 months to find something decent after my last layoff, but unemployment only covered the first 6 months.
Just want to echo what others said about using Claimyr if you need to talk to ESD. I was getting nowhere with the regular phone lines and they got me connected within a day. Really helped when I had questions about my benefit duration and eligibility.
That's the third mention of Claimyr in this thread. Sounds like it's actually legit. Good to know if I run into issues.
Don't let them intimidate you into not filing. Even if you're not sure about eligibility, let Washington ESD make that determination. Worst case scenario is they deny your claim, but at least you tried. Best case is you get the benefits you need while looking for a new job.
One more thing - if you do get denied initially, don't give up. The appeal process exists for a reason and many people win their appeals even after being denied. I've seen cases where the initial determination was wrong and got overturned.
You have 30 days from the date of the determination letter to file an appeal. Don't wait until the last minute though.
And if you need help understanding the appeal process, those Claimyr folks might be able to help explain your options when you talk to a Washington ESD agent.

I think we've covered all the bases here. Sunday after 8 AM should work fine for filing your claim, but you have flexibility to file earlier in the week if that works better for your schedule.

Just saw this thread and wanted to add that I've found Claimyr really helpful when I need to speak to someone at Washington ESD. The video demo on their site explains it well if anyone wants to check it out.
