If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Word of warning - don't assume your payment will always be the same amount every week. If you have any earnings to report or if there are other changes, your weekly benefit amount can vary.

This is important! I had a week where I did some consulting work and forgot to report it properly. Caused a whole mess with overpayments.

0 coins

Good to know. I'll be careful about reporting any income accurately.

The weekly system works well once you get used to it. Just remember you're basically 'checking in' every week to confirm you're still unemployed and looking for work. Miss that check-in and you don't get paid.

0 coins

That makes sense. It's like proving you still qualify each week.

0 coins

Exactly! And if your situation changes - like you get a job offer or start working - you need to report that too.

0 coins

good luck with your claim! the whole process is stressful but once you get into the routine of filing weekly claims it becomes easier

Thanks everyone for all the help! I feel much more prepared to tackle this now.

One last tip - if you do any work while receiving benefits, even just a few hours, make sure you report it on your weekly claim. Not reporting work can create overpayment issues later.

What if I do some freelance work or odd jobs?

Report all work and earnings, even cash jobs or freelance work. Washington ESD has ways of finding out and the penalties for not reporting are severe.

The Washington ESD website actually has a pretty good eligibility tool where you can check if you qualify before applying. Might be worth trying that first to get a rough idea.

0 coins

I'll definitely check that out. Thanks for the tip!

Based on what you described - working 8 months at decent hours and being laid off - you should definitely qualify. The main thing is just making sure you understand the ongoing requirements like job search and filing weekly claims on time.

This thread has been super helpful. I feel much more confident about applying now.

Good luck with your application! Feel free to ask if you run into any issues during the process.

Just to close the loop on this - if you ever need to verify your benefit calculation with Washington ESD directly, that Claimyr service really does work. I was skeptical at first but it got me through to an agent who could pull up my exact wage records and show me how they calculated my weekly benefit amount.

0 coins

Good to know! I'll definitely keep that in mind if I need to speak with someone directly.

0 coins

Yeah, much better than trying to call the regular way and getting busy signals all day.

Thanks everyone for all the explanations! This really helped clear up my confusion about how federal unemployment tax relates to my Washington ESD benefits. Sounds like I don't need to worry about it affecting my benefit amount at all.

0 coins

Glad we could help! Focus on making sure your wage information is correct in your Washington ESD account and you should be all set.

0 coins

Will do! Thanks again for taking the time to explain everything.

Awesome news! I remember that feeling of relief when my approval finally came through. Now the real work begins with keeping up with all the requirements - job searches, weekly certifications, etc. But at least you'll have some income coming in.

0 coins

Yeah I'm definitely going to stay on top of everything now. Don't want to risk losing benefits after waiting so long.

0 coins

Smart approach. The worst thing would be to get approved and then lose benefits due to a paperwork issue.

0 coins

For anyone else reading this - definitely keep filing your weekly claims even during adjudication. I made the mistake of stopping when mine took forever, and it complicated things when I finally got approved. Learn from my error!

0 coins

Good advice! I kept filing the whole time even though it felt pointless. Glad I did.

0 coins

Yeah they tell you to keep filing but when you're in limbo for months it's hard to remember. Setting a weekly reminder helps.
