If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Last tip - if you're ever unsure about your payment status, you can always check the 'Payment Activity' section in your Washington ESD account. It shows pending payments and processing dates.

Perfect! I'll bookmark that section in my account. You all have been incredibly helpful.

This thread should be pinned honestly. So much useful info about payment timing.

One final note from my experience - holidays can definitely push payments back by a day, so keep that in mind around Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc. Plan accordingly!

Great point about holidays! I'll make sure to factor that in for budgeting.

The 26-week limit is pretty standard across most states, but Washington's calculation method for determining your exact duration can be tricky. Your monetary determination letter will show exactly how many weeks you qualify for based on your earnings history.

0 coins

I should have received that letter already, right? I filed about 2 weeks ago.

0 coins

Yes, you should receive your monetary determination within a few days of filing. Check your SecureAccess Washington account online too.

Planning is smart! I used my full 26 weeks and wish I had been more strategic about my job search from the beginning. Don't wait until week 20 to get serious about finding work.

0 coins

That's great advice. I'm already applying to jobs but I wanted to understand the timeline so I can pace myself appropriately.

0 coins

Smart approach! The job market can be unpredictable so having a clear timeline helps with planning.

One thing people miss is that family-friendly policies during low unemployment often focus on workforce development and training rather than just income support. The idea is to help people upgrade skills while managing family responsibilities.

0 coins

That's interesting. Does Washington ESD offer training programs that accommodate family schedules?

0 coins

They do through WorkSource, but again, you have to specifically request accommodations and advocate for yourself.

I've been following this thread and want to emphasize that while the economic theory is interesting, what matters most is knowing your rights and being persistent with Washington ESD. Don't let them dismiss your legitimate family constraints.

0 coins

Agreed. Thanks everyone for the insights and practical advice. This has been really helpful for understanding both the theory and reality.

Good luck with your claim! Hope you and your wife both find something that works for your family situation.

One more thing - if you're having trouble reaching Washington ESD by phone for questions, I had success using Claimyr's callback service. It's at claimyr.com and they have a demo video that shows how it works. Saved me hours of calling and getting busy signals.

0 coins

I'll definitely check that out if I need to talk to someone. Thanks for the tip!

I used them too when I had questions about my job search requirements. Much easier than trying to get through the regular phone lines.

Remember that your first payment won't come until about 3-4 weeks after you apply if everything goes smoothly - one week waiting period plus time for processing plus the week you file your first weekly claim. Plan accordingly!

0 coins

That's good to know. I was hoping to get money right away but I guess I need to be patient.

0 coins

Yeah, the waiting can be tough when you're stressed about bills. But once it starts, payments usually come regularly if you keep filing your weekly claims on time.

0 coins

Just make sure you file your claim as soon as possible after becoming unemployed. The benefit amount won't change based on when you file, but you can't get payments for weeks before you actually filed your claim.

0 coins

Good point. I was laid off on Friday so I'll file my claim this weekend. No point in waiting around.

One last thing - keep all your employment records handy in case there are any issues with your wage calculation. Pay stubs, tax forms, anything that shows your earnings. Washington ESD might need additional documentation if there are discrepancies.

0 coins

Will do. Thanks everyone for all the helpful information. I feel much more prepared to file my claim now.

0 coins

You're welcome! The process seems overwhelming at first but it's pretty straightforward once you understand how it works. Good luck with your claim!
