TWC unemployment approved but under review again - bills piling up, can't reach anyone on phone. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle with my unemployment. I've been approved already, but now it's under review again and I don't know why. My bills are piling up and I'm getting worried. I tried calling the unemployment office, but after being on hold for like 30 minutes, the recording just cut off! Anyone else dealing with this? Any advice on how to actually get through to a real person?

Ugh, I feel your pain. The unemployment system is such a mess right now. I've been trying to get through for weeks. It's like they don't want us to actually get our benefits 🙄

I swear they do it on purpose to discourage people from claiming. Keep trying OP, don't let them win!

I actually found a way to get through! There's this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that calls for you, waits on hold, and then connects you when a real person picks up. It costs $20, but it saved me hours of frustration. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it works. Saved me so much time and stress. Worth every penny imo

Can confirm, I used it last week and got through in like 30 minutes. Beats spending all day on hold!

Here's what you need to do: 1. Keep calling every day, as early as possible. The lines are less busy right when they open. 2. If you get disconnected, call back immediately. 3. While waiting, gather all your documents and have your claim number ready. 4. Be polite but firm with the rep when you get through. 5. Ask for a supervisor if the rep can't help. 6. Document everything - dates, times, names of who you spoke to. 7. If all else fails, contact your local state representative. They can sometimes expedite things. Hang in there, OP. The system sucks, but persistence pays off!

Calling your state rep is a great tip. They helped me when I was stuck in limbo for months!

I'm in the exact same boat, OP. Been waiting for weeks on this 'review'. Bills don't review themselves tho, do they? 🙃 Let me know if you figure anything out!

Pro tip: if you get through to someone and they say they cant help, dont hang up! Ask to speak to a tier 2 agent or a supervisor. Sometimes the first person you talk to doesnt have the authority to fix complex issues

This! I wasted so much time talking to people who couldn't actually do anything. Always escalate!

yall ever think about how much time and money they waste on these stupid systems that dont work instead of just... giving people the money they need? 🤔
