THE TWC SYSTEM IS RIGGED AGAINST WORKERS!!! They ALWAYS side with employers initially because they know most people won't bother appealing. My determination letter was FULL OF LIES from my ex-boss but I had to fight for WEEKS to get it reversed. The "voluntary quit" excuse is their favorite way to deny benefits even when it's OBVIOUS you were forced out!!!

Im confused why did you quit instead of filing for partial unemployment while still working the reduced hours? You can get benefits when your hours are cut that much. Maybe mention that you didn't know about partial benefits in your appeal?

I honestly didn't know partial unemployment was an option! No one ever told me about that. The hostile work environment was also a major factor though - my boss was constantly criticizing me and making threats about my job security after I complained about the hours being cut.
