PA UC payment dates show but no debit card yet - how long until funds arrive?
Finally some progress on my PA UC claim! Been waiting since January 8th and today I noticed all my payments went through and I got dates assigned. I selected the debit card option when I applied, but haven't received the card yet. The system says they won't add funds to the card until the 24th anyway. Does anyone know how long it typically takes from seeing payment dates in the portal until the money actually arrives? Do they mail a check first or wait until I activate the debit card? Just trying to plan my finances since this delay has been stressful!

The Money Network debit card typically arrives 7-10 business days after your first payment is processed. Don't worry about the check - since you selected debit card, all payments will go there. Once you see 'payment date' in your portal, the funds are being processed but won't be available until you receive and activate your card. The good news is that when your card arrives, all payments processed so far should be available immediately upon activation.

•Thanks for explaining! Do they send any kind of tracking info for the card or does it just show up? I'm worried about missing it in the mail.

I had the exact same issue in February. The system showed payment dates but I was panicking about not having the card yet. If you see payment dates, that's actually great news! It means your claim is approved and money is being processed. The Money Network card usually arrives in 5-10 business days after the first payment is processed. One tip: when the card arrives, activate it immediately and set up the direct deposit transfer option in the Money Network app. You can transfer funds directly to your bank account without fees rather than using the card for purchases.

•That's a really helpful tip about the direct deposit transfer! I didn't know I could do that. Will definitely set that up once I get the card.

THEY ARE SO SLOW WITH EVERYTHING!!! I waited almost THREE WEEKS for my card after seeing payment dates!!! Then when I finally got it, I couldn't even activate it because the system was down!!! Had to wait ANOTHER 2 days just to access MY MONEY that I desperately needed for rent!!! The whole system is a JOKE!!!

•Oh no, that sounds awful! I hope it doesn't take that long for me. I've already been waiting since January 8th just to get approved.

If you're trying to reach someone at PA UC to check on your card status, good luck getting through on their phone lines. I spent two weeks trying last month with constant busy signals. I found this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that got me through to an actual agent in about 30 minutes. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 The agent told me that even though the system shows a payment date, the actual transfer to Money Network can take 2-3 business days, and then Money Network takes another 7-10 days to mail the card. But at least I got a real answer instead of guessing.

•I used this too! Way better than trying to call for days. Agent told me same thing about the timeline.

One other thing to note - the first Money Network card sometimes gets delayed in the mail. If it's been more than 10 business days since your first payment date, you can request a replacement card. Just be aware that if you do this and then the original card shows up, the original will be deactivated once the replacement is issued. Also, make sure your address is correct in the system - I've seen many cases where cards were sent to old addresses.

•I double checked my address and it's correct in the system. I'll give it the full 10 business days before I panic. Today is only day 2 since seeing the payment dates pop up.

My sister just went through this whole process and her dates showed up on a Tuesday and she got her card the following Monday. So about a week. But I think it depends on where you live and mail delivery times. She said the envelope was super plain looking too, almost threw it away!

Just to close the loop - once you receive your Money Network card and activate it, make sure you also set up your PIN for ATM access. Many people miss this step and then can't withdraw cash when needed. The card comes with instructions, but basically you need to activate online first, then set up the PIN separately. Also, be sure to continue filing your weekly claims even while waiting for the card. Your payment dates showing up is a good sign that things are processed correctly now, but you don't want to miss any weeks of certification.

•Thank you! I'll definitely keep filing my weekly claims. I almost forgot to do that thinking I should wait until I got the card. Really appreciate all the helpful advice everyone!

Hey there! I'm in a similar boat - just got my payment dates showing up yesterday after waiting since mid-January. It's such a relief to finally see some movement! Based on what everyone's saying here, it sounds like we should expect the card within 7-10 business days. I'm trying not to stress about it too much since the hardest part (getting approved) seems to be behind us. Fingers crossed both our cards arrive soon! Thanks for posting this - it's really helpful to see I'm not the only one going through this timeline.

•Yes, it's such a huge relief to finally see progress! I was starting to wonder if my claim got lost in the system somewhere. It's really reassuring to hear from everyone that 7-10 business days seems to be the norm. I'm definitely going to follow the advice about watching for that plain envelope - sounds like it would be easy to miss! Hope your card arrives quickly too. After waiting this long, a few more days shouldn't be too bad... I hope! 🤞

I went through this exact same situation last month! Saw my payment dates appear on a Wednesday and was anxiously checking the mail every day. The Money Network card arrived exactly 8 business days later in a very plain white envelope - honestly looked like junk mail at first glance. Once I activated it online, all my pending payments were available immediately. The whole process was nerve-wracking but worked out fine. Just keep filing your weekly claims while you wait and don't panic if it takes the full 10 days - seems like mail delivery varies by area. You're so close to the finish line now!
